I am very much looking forward to joining your Church with my daughter Charlotte who as a 3 year old has many questions regarding The Church and why Mummy is a Catholic, which I hope can be answered this Sunday in the Children\'s meeting after Mass at 09.30
Look forward to meeting everyone

I would just like to congratulate Fr. Rick on all the thought, drive and consideration that has gone into the re- ording of our church.
The Chruch was in great need of restoring and what a fabulous job has been done.
The Church not only looks beautiful inside now, it is warm and welcoming.
Well done to all directly involved but especially Fr. Rick

Fr. Rick & Parish - Thank you kindly for caring for my Aunty Doris at this difficult time. We loved Uncle Graham dearly, and the wonderful person he was. I pray that the Lord will give you all strength, and peace in your daily walk. In God's love we rest.
Blessings - Jo-Ann

Congratulations on the new web site it looks good.
The comments on the font are not strictly accurate and I would appreciate it being amended.

In the autumn of 1998 whilst I was involved in marriage and family life, I approached Father Colin with the idea of marking the Millennium with a new font as the old one had disappeared over time, he agreed on the understanding that I would raise the funds for it.

I resurrected the social committee which I headed for the past 10years and with a lot of hard work and goodwill and fun filled events and donations from some members of our parish family along side those from St George’s and St Anne’s Convents we quickly raised sufficient funds for the project.

We had two demijohns one at the school and one at the back of the church for loose change; we also had a large thermometer at the back of the church to encourage the fundraising and were updated weekly.

The time capsule is made of steel, and I asked Steve Pitt of Track Master Burgess Hill to help me design it, he was extremely helpful and donated his time, along with the capsule free of charge.

In the summer of 1999 Raymond L’Strange photographer and I went to all masses one weekend to take the pictures of the congregation for the time capsule, once we had photographs we then went to the parish for a decision on where the font was to be positioned. The capsule was then placed inside the font with various items and photos to give a snapshot of life in St Wilfrid’s Church in the year 2000.

There was a great band of people who willingly gave up their time and with God’s help we were able to achieve the amount we needed to raise and they deserve a mention for all their hard work, I won’t mention any names but as the fundraising was done under the banner of St Wilfrid’s social committee they will get the praise they deserve.

It lifts my heart each time I go to church and see the font and to see what we as a parish family achieved.
