Re: polytef paste

What is it being used for? There's a company called Mentor Corporation in Santa Barbara, CA that makes an injectable polytef for vocal cord treatments, and possibly for urinary incontinence; I also read about it being used in commercial plumbing supplies (which is kinda the same thing, I guess).

Hope this helps.

Re: Re: polytef paste

Thanks Mike.
Mentor told me that they sold their urology division,
which apparently included polytef, to Coloplast.
Coloplast told me that they discontinued the product last October. I am going to check again with both companies because this MD is very insistent.

If anyone out there is currently buying this stuff
where are you getting it from?

I remember this from years ago, but I checked Cardinal and they don't stock it.
Don't you wonder about doctors who don't understand the term "manufacturer discontinued"?
