This comment made by Matthew Henry...at the very bottom, "one duty was enough to engage the whole man. Wisdom, courage, strength of faith, holy affections, and constancy of mind in doing our duty, are requisite or useful for every station." should tell us that when you are on duty for the Lord, you should be so consumed with your duty that you do not busy yourself with the affairs of others. Each has his duty. What was done when they met in Counsel was to discuss the affairs of the Lord's House to make sure that all that was done was KOSHER. That is the duty of the Believer today; to keep searching for the Truth and discard the traditions of man that has crept into the Body of Christ.

When you read all of the chapter today, you are struck with the huge number of men, each of it's own clan that made up the Levites that served in their capacity in His Temple

When the Living Temple came down and dwelled among men, these priest and their High Priest had become so puffed up in their importance that they refused to acknowledge who it was that was in their very midst, even though they knew in their writings that it was the exact time that they should expect their Messiah..

That is why, they who make up the area of Judah/Benjamin and the Levites among them can be said to have been blinded for a time. They, unlike their country-men to the North that made up the House of Israel who acknowledged their Messiah, the House of Judah is now very busy, once again, getting ready to set up an Earthly Temple with all of it's gold/silver/jewels implements, garments, purple & scarlet robes. This isn't what The Great I Am wants, is it? He wanted the living stones that make up the Body of the Living Temple, Yeshua MaMaschiah.

This is how close we are to the Temple being set up, WHICH IS THE TEMPLE OF THE ANTI-Christ and his False Prophet.

Question: Should a true believer in Yeshua have anything to do with this temple about to be erected in Jerusalem?

Matthew Henry's Concise Commentary on I Chronicles: 1-32:

26:1-32 The offices of the Levites. - The porters and treasurers of the temple, had occasion for strength and valour to oppose those who wrongly attempted to enter the sanctuary, and to guard the sacred treasures. Much was expended daily upon the altar; flour, wine, oil, salt, fuel, beside the lamps; quantities of these were kept beforehand, besides the sacred vestments and utensils. These were the treasures of the house of God. These treasures typified the plenty there is in our heavenly Father's house, enough and to spare. From those sacred treasuries, the unsearchable riches of Christ, all our wants are supplied; and receiving from his fullness, we must give him the glory, and endeavour to dispose of our abilities and substance according to his will. We have an account of those employed as officers and judges. The magistracy is an ordinance of God for the good of the church, as truly as the ministry, and must not be neglected. None of the Levites who were employed in the service of the sanctuary, none of the singers or porters, were concerned in this outward business; one duty was enough to engage the whole man. Wisdom, courage, strength of faith, holy affections, and constancy of mind in doing our duty, are requisite or useful for every station.
