It shouldn't make any difference but it has become a source of contention among many Blacks that insist that God and His Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ, are Black.

Let's go back to the beginning when Noah and his 3 sons left the Ark after the flood. Scripture tells us that one looked like White like Noah, another looked Red and Ham was Black. Those are the colors that make up the nations.

Reading through the Bible account we soon learn that Ham caused Noah to send his son away that was born because of Ham's looking upon the nakedness of Noah...which is the nice Hebrew term for saying, he committed incest with his own mother. Also, this son of Ham, Canaan was cursed by Noah, wherever he traveled. So, let's keep it honest, was Jesus Christ born of the lineage of Ham?

No, Let's let the scriptures bear witness to Jesus & his lineage through his mother who was of the Tribe of Judah, who was also a descendant of King David, who was of Jesse who was of the lineage of Noah. It would stand to reason that they would carry their family characteristics down the line with them.....which is White.

What is dishonest is to call him "Lilly White" or "Black". He was of one of the Tribes of Israel, mainly Judah.

Samuel was told by the Lord to anoint one of the sons of Jesse to be the next king of Israel. David was out in the field tending sheep but his father was told to have him come in so Samuel could get a look at him. You see, the other 11 sons were not the one God had chosen. 12 "And he sent, and brought him in. Now he was (ruddy), and withal of a beautiful countenance, and goodly to look to. And the LORD said, Arise, anoint him: for this is he."

And then there is this account:

1 Samuel 17:42 (KJV)

42 "And when the Philistine looked about, and saw David, he disdained him: for he was but a youth, and (ruddy,) and of a fair countenance.' In Hebrew the word ruddy is admoniy, ad-MO-nee or more fully admowniy; meaning reddish as to show blood in the face as in rosey, red cheeks or to become flush from fair skin.

Now, that we have this evidence, shouldn't we take the words of the scripture which gives the description of the lineage of Mary's ancestors? We know He was called the Son of David. Nor, was he called the son of any of the other Tribes. Now again we ask what color was Jesus and how do we know for sure?
We go to a description of his family line and King David who is stated to have been good looking and of a ruddy complexion 1 Samuel 16:12

Further read the songs of Solomon who in his praise speaks of the coming Christ and gives a description of him in Solomon 5: 10-16

My beloved is white and ruddy, the chiefest among ten thousand. His head is as the most fine gold, his locks are bushy, and black as a raven. The word ruddy in this verse is the Hebrew word adom, (Adam) aw-dome; meaning rosy, red, ruddy, show red in the face to become or made red or flush!

So what we know is that Jesus was fair in complexion and had black hair as black as a raven. There is much more to be said here but I think it safe to say that Jesus was fair or olive skinned with black hair and this would be a typical for one of Jewish Origins.

But let's read about a certain Canaanite woman and how Jesus spoke to her and her own witness of whom Jesus was. Remember she would have been of the lineage from Ham.

Matthew 15:21-28 (KJV)

21. Then Jesus went thence, and departed into the coasts of Tyre and Sidon.

22. And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil

Syria borders Judea on the north and Phoenicia is a coastal strip and fits perfectly in this story of the land within Syria along the Great Mediterranean Sea. Tyre, a city in Phoenicia, and would have been approximately 55 miles from Galilee, a region Jesus ministered in... She is further described as a Canaanite; the Canaanites being enemies of the Jews since God ordered their removal and destruction in the time of Moses and Joshua as found in Deut. 20:16 and Numb. 33:50-53

From a religious standpoint, Greeks had no status in the Jewish religion or God's kingdom because of their idolatry and pantheon of gods used in their worship. The Canaanites date back into antiquity and some trace them back to the time of Ham. The Bible attributes the name to Canaan, the son of Ham and the grandson of Noah, whose offspring correspond to the names of various ethnic groups in the land of Canaan, listed in the "Table of Nations" (Gen. 10), where Sidon is named as his firstborn son, to be subdued by the descendants of Shem.

The Canaanite, the enemy of God's people, would have been despised. One might conclude that through the eyes of Jewish men, a Greek-Canaanite woman would have been considered sub-human, or because of their mixture of genetics from the children of God, perhaps to the extent of being unworthy of life itself. These roots trace much further back to the beginning of human history.

God himself sent his people out to destroy many people’s sparing not woman or child because they were off-spring of those tribes who were cursed such as the Canaanites.

However, Noah was a just man, he and his family being spared because he was perfect in his genealogy or genetic makeup from Adam, as this is the root from which Jesus was to be born the son of David. The simple fact of the matter is that Jesus had to be born of genetically pure lineage.

Back to the woman; although Jesus does not respond to this woman when she cries out, Jesus doesn't send her away, but states, "I was sent only to the lost children of Israel," and "It is not right to take the children's bread and toss it to the dogs."

The woman's recognition of Jesus as the Son of David, and her comprehension of the spiritual message underlying Jesus' response to her, and her belief that this miracle required nothing more than crumbs of Jesus' power provided overwhelming evidence for Jesus to declare, "O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour."

What does this all have to do with what color of Jesus? For one thing, faith does not know any barriers, does it? It is clear that Jesus Christ was not born unto the Hammite Race therefore He was not Black. But, having been born of the lineage of Noah, the White man and the son whom also looked like Noah, it is really digging into the straw pile to pull out pieces that would prove Jesus was Black whom in His Divine nature is the Unseen Father.

This seems to be a real touchy subject for those that are of the lineage of Ham, whom was cursed to serve his brothers because of what Ham did when he looked upon the nakedness of his father. That can be understood since it is human nature to want to be considered of the same lineage as the man Jesus who walked this earth.

It is best to let scripture speak for itself so it cannot be twisted to exclude some because of their genetic make up or to play to the racist class as many do to this day as a means to cast disparaging images on others. The European Whites have been guilty of this and now we have the Black Race turning the tables on them.

What is missed by so many that look at the color of one's skin as to his worth, is what Jesus Christ did on the Cross. He redeemed all of us; no matter what. He looks at the heart of man, which is the same color within us all and once redeemed, we become white as snow.

Let us all continue to preach Jesus Christ, crucified, risen from the dead so that we can all be gathered unto Him in the Sheepfold of the Israelites, whom Jesus came to save. This means the natural Olive Branch or the Grafted in Gentile Branch.

The Southern Kingdom of Judah will be there to the end, suffering the consequences of their denial of Him until they finally call out to Him, "Blessed is He that comes in the Name of the Lord."

Some, claim he was lily white as is done among many of the Europeans. But if you look at the Jewish people, they include fair skinned if you use many others in the area as a guide to define color tone.

But to hold one skin tone above another is foolishness as Jesus is Lord to all no matter what genetic makeup or skin pigment you may have.

To insist that the color of one's skin is proof of his geneology is playing into a narrow-minded game that will gain nothing.

Because King Solomon was also of that blood-line who birthed many, many children among which were every color there is possible, it does not make them of the Tribe of Judah because it is down through the mother that geneology is established and you can understand why that rule is up-most among the Hebrew people. All of the children born to Solomon would have carried the generic make-up of their mothers.

For God so loved the World! This means all not just a few! That he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believes in his should not perish but have everlasting life.

Dr. Mannings take on the Sons of Ham

Black people are of the son of Noah whose name was Ham. The Red Race are of the son whose name was Japheth. The White son, Shem, looked like his father Noah.. It is God who created these races and so, why is that God's creation argues with the Great I Am?

I love this Dr. Manning, a Black man who knows his color, accepts it and doesn't put himself above people of other color. He knows His Lord Jesus Christ and no matter what color He may be, Dr. Manning knows, loves and has accepted His Savior, whom died on the cross for his Salvation. But.....

Dr. Manning lets it be known that there are those Blacks who if they see a White Jesus Christ will probably string him up. They will not accept Him based on His color.

In other words, these people are not only Black but Blind.

Just a bit of history according to the Word of God, which by the Way, also includes the Book of Enoch, gives an account of these three sons.

After the flood Ham went into his father's tent where Noah lay drunk. Ham saw the "nakedness of his father", which is a term for seeing the nakedness of a wife or concubine. A man seeing another man's nakedness would not be cursed in the way that Noah caused Ham to be cursed.

When Noah awoke and found out what had happened, he was angry at his son Ham, saying that Ham’s children should be slaves to the children of his brothers Shem and Japheth. Why does it seem that the Black Race became slaves to the other two brothers? Because God said that the off-spring of Ham would be cursed because of what Ham had done. He produced an off-spring who became known as the Canaanites. Who are we to question the Word of God?

Then he prayed that Shem and Japheth have wisdom and beauty, and great social and cultural achievements. Shem became a prophet of G-d and lived six hundred years, serving G-d as a priest

In the time of Abraham, who was the ninth generation in direct line of descent from Shem, Shem was famous under the name of Malkitzedek, the “Just King,” who brought offerings to God. He lived to see the eleventh generation of his descendants (Jacob). Together with his worthy great-grandson Eber, he taught and spread faith in G-d and in His commands in a school which was known as the Academy of Shem and Eber.

During the time of Nimrod, who was the grandson of Ham, the wickedness of the people increased tremendously. Nimrod who became a Mighty One (Gibborim-Giant)through his partaking of Satanic rituals/potions of the Fallen Ones, defied the God of his great-grandfather Noah and build a huge kingdom called Babylon. We all know the story of the Tower of Babel, which the Fallen Ones were using to find the Gate-way back to their former abode. G-d decided to destroy their arrogance by destroying their ability to understand one another. He, therefore, confused the people by splitting them up into seventy different nations and tribes, each with a language of its own, (hence the name Babel, meaning “confusion” .

Everything that Dr. Manning says shows that he understands his lineage of color and also that he, like all of us are Reborn through Jesus Christ. To claim one is what they cannot be does not make it anymore true. The children of Ham were not of the Tribe of Judah, whom was of the lineage of Shem.

My prayer is that Dr. Manning's words will awaken so many people who are all caught up in their lineage and missing the salvation given to them through the Son born of a Virgin who was of the tribe of Judah... because they are Color-Blind.

Excellent points. As you said, the color spectrum of all the peoples on earth was determined at man's creation, and the color variations of Noah's sons shows that. Yet, as it said in the bible about King David's complexion being "ruddy", you don't SEE the ruddiness of skin when a person has a very dark skin tone. Can't see jaundice well either on a dark skinned person.

Many nurses used to ask me "how can you tell when a black baby has jaundice?" And I would tell them to blanch the skin to check this and look at the "whites" of their eyes, which often would turn yellow when there was a problem with jaundice. Oriental people have a naturally high bilirubin level (which causes the yellow pigmented skin tone), and a jaundiced oriental baby has to look almost orange before you can tell how jaundice it looks. Amazing how God created all these possibilities.
