Never in the history of this country have so many Believers in the Lord Jesus Christ left their churches and by the same token, never have so many taken to aligning themselves to Sunday Social Clubs where coffee, doughnuts and feel good about yourself sermons are served.

I left a dead, ritualistic denominations but upon repentance and being Born-Again, I found a place where for quite a long time, it was The Word of God that got preached. Then about the time we began to hear of Rick Warren, things began to change drastically. The old-timers that played the organs, pianos were fired....not enough boom and bang. Appealing to the young who didn't even pick up the Word of God was the goal to promote Church Growth. The old Pastors that visited the sick got fired. I saw it all happening and I began to get sick to my stomach. Bottom line...we left. Maybe one is suppose to not forsake the assembling together but there is also the admonishment to not be unequally yoked.

I thank the Holy Spirit for putting that sinking feeling into my heart because it made me pick up my Bible a whole lot more as I began to pour over the End Time Prophecies. I can't begin to tell you how much I have learned in just the past two years on this site. Oh, my! but have we been kept in the dark.

And you know what, I have learned that the Shepherd, instead of leaving the 99 and searching for the One that is lost, is literally killing off the Sheep in his care. I recall the Book of Enoch telling about the Shepherds who left their command from God and began to actually kill off their own flock (paraphrased)

Reading through "The Day of The Lord" recommended to me by Steven, I came across this portion below that speaks of this very thing that is happening. Here is a quote from the book. Take a look and see if you don't see yourself or someone you may know. You should because it is very common, this disease of the Shepherds.

MANY PASTORS HAVE DESTROYED GOD'S PEOPLE

The Lord then declares that many pastors have destroyed his people. When the Lord uses the word many, he means the majority of them. The Lord declares that no man understand or ponders this truth. Only a small remnant which God is now restoring to his true covenant can recognize that pastors in America have deceived and destroyed the people of God.

Ancient Israel erred, seeking a king to rule over them, and turned from the Lord. The Church has committed the same act of treason before God, turning to the pastors for guidance, and forsaking the Lord. How have they deceived the people? These blind guides of the blind have been teaching another gospel. This is the gospel of the last day's apostasy, and it is build upon for pillars of falsehood.

1. Intellectual conversion without true repentance from the heart!

2. Faith without heart felt obedience to the Lord.

3. Discipleship without the cross and death to self.

4. Religious works of the flesh without the spirit and true holiness.

Where are the tears of repentance today? Where is the prayer and fasting among God's people? How many spend quiet time in devotions with God each day? Where is the compassion and agape love which I the witness of the fruit of the Spirit? Today we find only wealth, and vanities filling the churches, which are called by his name.

Many pastors have destroyed my vineyard, they have trodden my portion under foot. They have made my pleasant portion a desolate wilderness. They have made it desolate, and being desolate it mourns unto me. The whole land is made desolate, because no man lays it to heart! Jeremiah 12:10-11.

How have pastors destroyed the people? Why is Jeremiah weeping?

Because the false prophets are telling the people they will have peace and not see the sword or famine. The Lord replies that these prophets are speaking lies. Today's teachers of the pre-tribulation rapture are spreading the same deadly falsehood.

This false teaching has deceived the Church, telling them they will never see the day of evil. These teachers are teaching lies. Notice what the Lord says will happen to these false teachers and those who listen to them. They shall all be consumed by the sword.

Jeremiah 22:13-17 (KJV)

13 Woe unto him that buildeth his house by unrighteousness, and his chambers by wrong; that useth his neighbour's service without wages, and giveth him not for his work;

14 That saith, I will build me a wide house and large chambers, and cutteth him out windows; and it is cieled with cedar, and painted with vermilion.

15 Shalt thou reign, because thou closest thyself in cedar? did not thy father eat and drink, and do judgment and justice, and then it was well with him?

16 He judged the cause of the poor and needy; then it was well with him: was not this to know me? saith the Lord.

17 But thine eyes and thine heart are not but for thy covetousness, and for to shed innocent blood, and for oppression, and for violence, to do it.
