Ukraine crisis: Fighting continues despite new push to enforce truce
Fighting continued overnight between government troops and pro-Russian rebels in east Ukraine, despite renewed diplomatic efforts to enforce a truce. Ukraine said six government soldiers were killed in the past 24 hours and army positions were fired on 26 times near the rebel stronghold of Donetsk. The rebels said one of their fighters was killed during attacks by the army.

Australia to send more troops to Iraq
Australia will send another 330 soldiers to Iraq on Wednesday in a training mission set to last two years. Prime Minister Tony Abbott said the troops would be partnered with 100 New Zealand military personnel. The mission's purpose is to help train the Iraqi army so that it can gain and hold ground against Islamic State (IS) militants, he said.

Settlers plan to rebuild the unauthorized Hazon David synagogue in the West Bank on the outskirts of Kiryat Arba, which the IDF destroyed in a pre-dawn raid on Tuesday.
