There is a question of, "Who died in Egypt when the Death Angel came through?"
This article tells about the reconstruction of the huge statues of Amenhotep III.
"And it came to pass, that at midnight the Lord smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sat on his throne unto the firstborn of the captive that was in the dungeon; and all the firstborn of cattle." Exodus 12:29.
The first born son of Amenhotep III that died that night is none other than the boy king known as King Tut. His finery in death is remarkable in that one cannot understand how such a young heir to the throne, who probably had achieved nothing of importance since he had not yet ascended the throne, received such an unprecedented burial.
His father, Amenthotep III is the Pharaoh that was sorry he let the Children of Israel go and began his pursuit of them which ended with the drowning of Pharoah, all of his High Priests and army that he could put together in his pursuit of God's Chidren.
