How Long Can You Hold Your Breath?

Last week the president had a secret meeting with agitators in Ferguson, urging them to stay on course. You would think the president, of all people, would ask for calm and adherence to the law. At the same time our outgoing attorney general is pardoning four black men charged with murdering a policeman as he gets ready to leave office. Also Oprah Winfrey is opening a new movie she made about Selma, Alabama and the civil rights movement. This couldn’t happen at a worse time.

These are not unwitting leaders. They and people like the Reverend Al Sharpton (just so you know, Mr. Sharpton owes millions of dollars in back taxes and should be in prison), have an agenda and an axe to grind, and they willingly continue to foment anarchy throughout the land. With their help, will the U.S. erupt into civil war? Only time will tell.

Paul told Timothy in his second letter:

“But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of Godliness but denying it’s power. And from such people turn away. For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of truth.”

But you haven’t seen anything yet. This is just the beginning.

We may just live to see unbridled lawlessness and revolution in the streets of America. However, if such a thing happens, the government may find it necessary to quell this violence by any and all means. In the meantime, the government becomes ever stronger. Power will be in the hands of a few, who will then give that power to a one world government. Already this cabal is imposing their will on various countries, but won’t speak out against the obvious lawlessness of Islam. In fact many of the nations represented in the UN are Muslim countries.

Everything necessary for the United Nations to intervene in world affairs has been put in place. According to the Bible, a one world government will be instituted as well as a one world religion, and that one world religion could very well be Islam! Think about it, aren’t they hell bent on converting everyone to their way of thinking, to the point of beheading and killing innocent men, women and children? This is exactly what the Scriptures say will happen, and it’s happening now. It’s only a matter of time before the Antichrist will be revealed, that is, if he hasn’t been revealed already.

The American masses can only cower down and shudder with fear. They have no idea what might happen next and they hold their breath with fear. They have no one whom they can call out to. The police are having their hands tied by political correctness. Who’s going to help them? Sadly, they should know by now but don’t—that God is the answer. In a country that has been referred to as a Christian country for over a hundred years we should all know the Prince of Peace personally—Christ Jesus, but we have rejected Him to our own detriment.

Everyone seems to be holding their breath these days. The world is becoming more and more chaotic and uncertain. Life itself hangs in the balance. But you don’t have to hold your breath, you can exhale and breathe deeply if you know biblical prophecy. The more you know about end-time prophecy, the easier you can breathe (especially if you have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ), who gives born-again believers a calming peace that is beyond human understanding. If you want peace, just invite Him into your life after confessing your sins and repenting in earnest, and He will give it to you.

By the way, here are two new movies to look for - or avoid.

Kirk Cameron, that old Christian standby is about to appear in a new film titled, Christ Back in Christmas. It has something to do with St. Nicolas, according to reviews.

Rosewood is the title and it sounds like an interesting film: Jon Stuart, the brash liberal comedian, wrote and directed this serious film. It is about an Iranian journalist, Mazear Bahari, who was incarcerated for 118 days for being a spy in that Godless country. So what else is new?
