26. Agape, ag-ah'-pay; from 25; love, i.e. affection or benevolence; spec. (plur.) a love-feast:-love {86x}, charity {27x}, dear {1x}, charitably+2596 {1x}, feast of charity {1x}.
(1) The attitude of God toward His Son (Jn 17:26), the human race (Jn 3:16; Rom 5:8); and to believers on the Lord Jesus Christ particularly (Jn 14:2).
(2) It is his will to his children concerning their attitude
(2a) one toward another (Jn 13:34), and
(2b) toward all men (I Th 3:12, I Cor 16:14; 2 Pet 1:7).
(3) He desires for them to express his essential nature (1 Jn 4:8).
(4) Love can be known only from the actions it prompts as God's love is seen in the gift of His Son (1 Jn 4:9, 10).
(5) This is not the love drawn out by any excellency in its objects (Rom 5:8).
(6) It was an exercise of the divine will in deliberate choice, made without assignable cause, save that which lies in the nature of God Himself (cf. Deut 7:7,8).
(7) Love had its perfect expression among men in the Lord Jesus Christ (2 Cor 5:14; Eph 2:4; 3:19; 5:2).
(8) Christian love is the fruit of His Spirit in the Christian (Gal 5:22).
(9) Christian love has God for its primary object, and expresses itself first of all in implicit obedience to his commandments (Jn 14:15, 21, 23; 15:10; 1 Jn 2:5; 5:3; 2 Jn 6).
(10) Self-will, that is, slef-pleasing, is the negation of love to God.
(11) Christian love, whether exercised toward the brethren, or toward men generally, is not an impulse from the feelings, it does not always run with the natural inclinations, nor does it spend itself only upon those for whom some affinity is discovered. (10a) Love seeks the welfare of all (Rom 15:2), and (10b) works no ill to any (Rom 13:8-10); (10c) seeks opportunity to do good to all men, and especially to them that are of the household of the faith, (Gal 6:10).
(11) See further I Cor 13 and Col 3:11-14.
(12) In respect of agapoa as used of God,
(12a) It expresses the deep and constant love and interest of a perfect being towards entirely unworthy objects,
(12b) Producing and fostering a reverential Love in them towards the Giver,
(12c) a practical love towards those who are partakers of the same, and
(12d) a desire to help others to seek the Giver.
(13) Agape is used in the plural in Jude 12, signifying "feasts of charity." Syn.: Agape expresses a more reasoning attachment, of choice and selection, from a seeing in the object upon whom it is bestowed that which is worthy of regard; or else from a sense that such is due toward the person so regarded, as being a benefactor or the like. Phileo (5368), without being necessarily an unreasoning attachment, does yet give less account of itself to itself; is more instinctive, is more of the feelings or natural affections, implies more passion. In the NT agapao is purged of all coldness, and is deeper than phileo....phileo implies an instinctive, affectionate attachment; but agapao of a sentiment based on judgment and adulation, which selects its object for a reason.

Let us not forget his side kick Charles "agape" Holler who continues to spew venom in his posting on Five doves

Charles has some deep rooted spiritual,emotional and physical issues and needs lots of prayer.

Greetings John and Doves,
I was pleased to see Pastor Bob give credit to the "Pre Wrath Rapture Babble site" in his "All roads lead to Rome #3" post on what they are correct in. The most prevalent behavior that drove me away from that site was the owners spiritual pride and arrogance that blinded him from seeing any good in those that didn't convert to his beliefs. Now it's so bad they infer if one believes in a pre-trib rapture that their very salvation is questioned. Thank you Pastor Bob for giving credit where it was due. Wouldn't it be wonderful if they could humble themselves to give credit for just one of the many teachings you have brought to this site. The sad thing is we as the Body of Christ have real enemies on the attack with ISIS or ISIL killing Christians, cutting little children's heads off. We are in the cross hairs of the Gay-Lesbian movement, and the very core of our existence is being dismantled by our own government. We see so many signs of the times that we better get concerned about our salvation and those sins of the heart that Jesus spoke on. Let's love one another and if you're having trouble with your enemies.....start with your brothers and sisters in Christ.

If what "pastor" bob is giving us credit on his postings with all his attacks against the information shared on this site then we will just have to see when we are before the throne room of God if 'pastor' bob and Charles 'agape' Holler will stand before the king when their hearts will be revealed before the King of Kings and LORD of Lords......

Now, come on Charles, your words here that you stated are an exaggeration.

I believe each one of us on this site, knows the difference between a salvation issue and a preparation of one's mind and body for Tribulation subject.

There is a woman in my family who believes it's ok to re-arrange people's words: it's called "Embellishment". She does it all the time and it causes huge problems. Do you know why?

Because, she will "infer" instead of telling the facts as they are given. That means she arranges words to put her slant on a topic instead of telling the truth of the matter.

Every person will be judged for their lies regardless what kind of spin they may want to put on it. Thank God, He is our judge.
