Joh 18:36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.

But please notice how he said it..........(.." but now"..)........( " Not from " ) of course his Kingdom is Not from earth at that time his kingdom was from God his father in heaven and not for then on earth but for later on earth upon his return and the thousand year millennium of reign. He came to bring salvation and grace not establish a kingdom.

He did not come to fight Rome and liberate his people........he came to fulfill a 1000 yr old or older prophecy of his coming. He knew he was to be crucified and put to death to give victory over it.

Peter sliced the ear of the priests servant come to arrest him........The world had not accepted him as it's king .......but they will when he returns. There will be no more scoffers. There will be those who were deceived by the deceiver posing as him.

" Isn't Jesus Kingdom spiritual instead of political?" .........Christos is the Good Shepherd of the faithful sheep. He is also their king, of all kings of time, every king that there is, every government and every person shall bow their knee to him. And yes, he is king of all time, and all people, and all nations and ethnos, and all who oppose him shall be harvested with the tares ....... He comes to harvest the souls that belong in his kingdom........the ones that do not belong will be separated.

He said let them grow up together.....meaning they would be separated later at harvest time.

God has an established order of those who do his works.

Earth was made for man and it will be made anew as it was in the beginning and God will be with man as it was in the beginning.

Good lesson on where is the Kingdom of God: I can't agree more.

I'd like to ask you a question Michael. Would you please tell me if you believe in a "Catching Away" of the Body of Christ just prior to His Wrath coming upon this world?

I'd like to add that the words, "First the Dead in Christ will arise and then those that remain will be caught up to meet the Lord and shall forever be with him" indicates that it is immediately after the Resurrection of the Dead so, there it is, nevertheless.

The kingdom of God is not carnal or of the world but spiritual, of the heavens which is to say, of the mind. It is a kingdom of knowledge of God. Wisdom and understanding are the incorruptible treasures held in the storehouses, the foundation is the WORD OF GOD and peace flows from the fountains within

So it is written, the kingdom is not far off but nezr to you, even on your lips- and do not say, who will ascend to bring it down to us? Or who will descend to bring it up? Because the kingdom is among you, even the very Word we speak

What we see in the revelation is the perfecting of the church through the WORD. It is showing all of the confusion and imperfect understanding of thè church coming to an end as the WORD becomes perfectly understood and all divisions of the church are healed

See the state of the world is a reflection of the state of the church- as we war against ourselves spiritually they war carnally- aß we are divided in spirit they are divided' lack of spiritual food lack of carnal food . Fix the church fix the world- this is what the revelation is revealing is the perfecting of the church and what that does to the world

Look Jesus said flesh and blood cannot inherit the kigdom of God. This means that the man who understands the Word through the carnal mind of the flesh cannot inherit the spiritual understanding of God. He cannot understand. The kingdom is understanding of the Word which can only be inherited through the understanding of the spirit.

look Jesus said you must eat my flesh and drink my blood or you have no life in you. Let me ask you reader- how do you understand these words which Christ has said?

This is a really good discussion! Michael, well written and supported study, I enjoyed how you put that all together.

I just want to answer John's question of how I see the Bread and Blood of Christ. To me they represent the Two Witness to the One True God. The Bread we are to eat is the Word of God...Jesus is the Word that became flesh and the Bread of Life we are to eat, so we will never hunger.

The wine, His blood, is the Holy Spirit, of which we are to drink,for it is living water, and if we drink it we will never thirst.

That's how I see it. Great question!! It will be interesting to see how others answer it, and how you see it.

I want to go back to your quote.

The Church/Body/Bride of Christ will never be perfected by it's own efforts...even with the Holy Spirit to be a "Helper" during our walk on this earth. He is here in our walk upon earth and will reveal God's Word as we seek.

The Believers/Body/Bride of Christ must be changed physically as well as spiritually (born-again) in order to inherit The Kingdom of God which is seen coming down in the New Jerusalem. Flesh must put on incorruption. Whoever remains upon this earth at the time of the Dead in Christ being raised and thus, themselves changed in the twinkling of an eye, are those that will be added to The New Jerusalem that is seen coming down after Jesus Christ has dealt with this earthly kingdom.

John, in all sense of respectability, your teaching that the church upon earth will bring the perfection that the world will have is just not in teaching with God's Word. We seem to have the Dispensation Group dividing God's Plan into a period for the Jews and one for the Gentiles and now we are to believe that the Church, despite it's human attributes, is going to bring about worldly perfection? Jesus Christ paid the redemption price on the cross, freed us from the Law but there is the second part to the reading that He gave at the Synagogue in Luke 4.16-20 where we read, We know that was the first part of the prophecy in Isaiah 61 that was fulfilled that day BUT take a look at what the second verse mentions, which Jesus did not read but which is left to be fulfilled. It is the day of vengeance, which takes place at the Wrath of God.

Revelation 14:14,15,&16..!!!!!!!!

This is where the Harvest of the earth.............the so called rapture.....

takes place. I believe this is the wheat harvest. I believe this is where the church is taken after the dead in Christ are taken...........time frame.....................close to the very end, right before Jesus returns with his army from heaven on white horses.................very close to the end. Somewhere from the time the beast's of revelation 13 appear and start their reign of terror, God will shorten the days from that point to the end for the sake of the elect, and I think the harvest in Rev. 14 is when he shortens time, because the beast's will be in full swing with their murdering of humans that refuse their system AND MARK.



Chapter 16 begins Gods wrath........

16:1.....And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth.

There you have it...................the harvest................and then the wrath of God is poured out after that, in chapter 16!!!!

The mellenium will take place while satan is locked up, then he will be loosed one last time and be consumed by God with fire, along with all those that are led astray by him again to come against Jerusalem. then the new heavens and earth will be ushered in and Holy Jerusalem will come down from heaven to the new earth and God will live among his children.....AMEN!

Patti I wouldn't disagree with your understanding of the verse. What I wanted to do was illustrate the difference between carnal understanding and spiritual understanding. We either understand the words carnally-as does the church in rome- and teach a carnal word in which we carnally eat the carnal flesh and blood of Jesus

Or we understand the words spiritually and teach a spiritual eating of spiritual flesh of Christ, which is to say that meat of the WORD. Since most Christians use the right understanding of the spiritual understandin when understanding these words said by Jesus here, its a good verse to illustrate the differnce between the carnal and spiritual understanding

This is so if any reading are not understanding the difference between carnal understanding and spiritual understanding. The carnal is the wrong understanding of the WORD OF GOD which is Spirit, and to be understood spiritually and not carnally.

The carnal understanding is death and the letter kills, but the spiritual is life

I am speaking of the work of the Spirit which will most certainly finish the work and bring the body of Christ into perfection, and through this perfection is the reconciliation

Also you are still in the carnal understanding concerning the wrath of God. God is not carnal God is Spirit and spiritual wrath is not carnal wrath. But I will speak on this later.
