THE NEW AGE "CHRISTIAN"

Hello all,

The New Age Christian should be a phrase that is a perfect example of an oxymoron!! But, it is no longer the case, as there has been a merging of new age principles in "Christian circles", even in our churches. This is no great surprise, but it really hit home for me, today, when I happened to notice a bumper sticker on the car of a family I work for, a family that in which the parents proclaim to be born again Christians, and attend church regularly with their children.

The bumper sticker said "COEXIST", and each letter of the word had a different religious symbol for different religions. The "C" was a crescent moon with a star hanging from it...representing Islam. The "O" was a peace symbol...representing New Age. The"E" had an arrow pointing up and an arrow pointing down, as to represent "as above, so below". The "I" was a candle with a pentagram as the flame...not sure what this represents other than Satan worship. The "X" was the Star of David representing Judaism. And the "T" was a cross...representing Christianity.

This just blew me away!! I love these people and had no idea that they felt this way about who God is, and have bought into this New Age concept deeply enough to display it on their car!! What are they thinking?! I am not sure what to do or say about it, as it just happened, and they know how I feel about Jesus being the ONLY WAY. I am at a loss at this moment and felt compelled to share this with you all. If anyone has a good idea how I should handle this, what I should say or not say, please let me know.

The name of the company that makes and sells these bumper stickers and other items with similar logos is "PEACEMONGER" with their motto being "May you find Peace within". Here is their website in case you want to see what these products look like...

I am just so saddened right now... I had to share this here in hopes someone else may be discovering this about friends or family that you thought were really Christians. I could really use some help in dealing with this.
