Ukrainian protesters have been able to enter the president's official and residential buildings in Kiev, after they were abandoned by police. They have stationed guards outside the entrances to offices, while the interior ministry has said in a statement that it supports the people. Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro has invited US President Barack Obama to join him in talks aimed at resolving the problems between the two countries.
