THE 'IGNORANCE' OF THE SCRIPTURES AMONG CHRISTIANS IS RAMPANT.....................

The ignorance of the Scriptures among those who call themselves Christians is rampant today. I know this to be true because I was ONCE one of them. Ignorance is the lack of knowledge.

Hosea 4:6

"My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being a priest for me."

God places a high value on knowledge of the Scriptures. Ignorance will be NO EXCUSE on that Day !

Medical Doctors are sued for malpractice and have their license to practice medicine revoked, but have you ever heard of a Pastor, Priest, or Minister being sued fro malpractice ? No, you never did ! They keep on preaching and teaching A DOCTRINE OTHER THAN THE TRUE DOCTRINE OF CHRIST with impunity in this world. Their punishment will come from the Ultimate Judge.

The shame of it is that they will be the cause of many who will be destroyed with them. The ignorant are led astray like Jim Jones led his followers to destruction in the jungle of Central America.

Matthew 22:14

"Many are called, but few are chosen."

Because the "many" are ignorant of the knowledge they need for their personal salvation.

James 2:20

"O foolish man, faith without works is dead."

Because the "many" are ignorant of the fact that they also need to have "works" to receive salvation they think "faith" is ALL THEY NEED. WRONG !!!

DO NOT CONTINUE TO FALSELY BELIEVE THAT YOUR FAITH 'ALONE' WILL SAVE YOU ON THAT DAY !

According to Your Infallible Word, come Lord Jesus !

It's true of course that faith without works is dead, and it's God in us that does the works.

Those works God does in us are to make us like Christ, He has quickened us together with Christ. If you have faith in Christ and are remaining the same person, then perhaps you are not allowing Him to work in you and your faith is dead.

Eph 2:5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)

We were saved not through works, but while dead in sin, we are saved by God's Grace.

Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Eph 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Even our faith which God's Grace saved us by is a gift from God, it's all God, no good works is of us.

Eph 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

If we see a brother in need and just wish him well without helping him, our faith is dead.
God led Abraham to sacrifice Isaac and God stopped his hand because Abraham believed God.
It's making us christ like through testing.

Jas 2:23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.

Jas 2:24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.

So we are saved by Grace and justified through God given faith and works.
