Let's let the scripture answer that statement. We know that Jesus, after being filled with the power of the Holy Spirit, returned to Galilee.....Verse 16-19 of Luke 4 says, "And he came to Nazareth where he had been brought up and as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day: and stood up for to read. And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor, he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised. To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

Now here is the important part...verse 20, "And he closed the book and he gave it again, to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him. Verse 21, "And he began to say unto them. "This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears."

What prophecy was it that was fulfilled. It was the one in Isaiah 61:1-2 that clearly prophesied Jesus Christ as the Anointed One. He sat down before the second part of that prophecy was fulfilled because it pointed to the Day of vengeance of our God, which is verse 2.

It is a grave mistake to take away the importance of the Lord's reading of that scripture that plainly tells that He is the Anointed One.

The people were awed by Him and the Elders were out-raged by his claim. We can be very sure that soon, the vengeance will come and it will be The Wrath of God.

Thsanks for responding, Sis, but actually I have made it a rule, to basically only respond on my threads and not others, then according to the rules people and responders have to read it full everything I write before commenting.

But allow me to at least give you one response HERE because strangely you addressed myself on the opening line.. (And then thereafter we can go to my thread for a further discussion)

Daniel 9 is the topic. Daniel 9 24, to be exact if my memory is right...as it starts from the going forth to build the temple again to everlasting righteousness, (NOT HERE)
anointing of JESUS (the HOLY ONE) (Not done yet because He is not ruling the world yet), sealing up the vision and prophecy completely (Obviously not as we have not had trumpets, vials etc etc etc etc etc etc... and may I add an etc..)

So make a timeline and reread Daniel 9, and see the boundaries the Lord gives Daniel to write to us.
