Khamenei: Israel is 'illegitimate, *******' regime
Supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said Sunday Israel is 'illegitimate, *******' regime. He further expressed pessimism about talks with world powers over its disputed nuclear program but backed them. "No one should see our negotiating team as compromisers," Khamenei, Iran's top decision-maker on its nuclear drive, was quoted as saying on his official website.

View of rare solar eclipse in Africa, Europe and America
A rare solar eclipse will sweep Africa, Europe and the United States, allowing a view of the Sun which is totally or partially blocked out by the Moon. The best view of the total eclipse on land will be in central Gabon for about one minute at about 1350 GMT. The total eclipse will then sweep east across the African continent. Partial views will be available in eastern North America and southern Europe.

Turkish FM: We would never cooperate with Israel against a Muslim country
Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu categorically denied claims that his country cooperated with Israel in Thursday’s attack on a Syrian missile base... “We have issues with Syria, an issue based on a principle. DC on fast track to decriminalizing pot possession
It took nearly 15 years after voters approved medical marijuana for it to become available in the District of Columbia, but the next major change to pot laws in the nation's capital is on the fast track. The D.C. Council is poised to approve a bill that would decriminalize possession of small amounts of pot, and Democratic Mayor Vincent Gray announced last month that he supports it. He could sign the bill into law as early as January.

The heat is on the European Central Bank to cut rates amid growing deflationary fears in Europe, but analysts are divided over whether it will act as soon as this week. The Revolutionary Guards, the elite Iranian regime's army, said Saturday they are committed to the slogan "Death to America," chanted at official ceremonies, just days before the 34th anniversary of the storming of the American Embassy in Tehran. "The slogan Death to America is the symbol of strength and determination of the Iranian nation against the dominance of the United States, which is an oppressive and untrustworthy nation," said the Revolutionary Guards on their official website.

Israel Is Furious At Obama For The 'Scandalous' Leak That It Bombed Syria This Week
Israel is incensed that the Obama administration confirmed a recent Israeli airstrike on Syria's coast, The Times of Israel reports. Late Wednesday night a Syrian base in the coastal area of Latakia — which held Russian-made surface-to-air missile systems — was destroyed. The immediate speculation was that Israel was involved, but that wasn't certain until an unnamed White House official confirmed it to CNN.
