"FOREVER AND EVER" IS A LONG TIME TO WAIT FOR A 'SECOND CHANCE' AT FORGIVENESS.....

Is it Scriptural to believe that God will give the left-behind a 'second chance' at forgiveness ?

Scripture tells us that the Gentile unbelievers, who are left-behind, will receive a "strong delusion" from Him so that they will believe "the lie" and therefore worship the beast.

Revelation 14:9-11

"......if anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, he himself shall also drink the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment ascends FOREVER AND EVER..."

Does that sound to you like God will be giving any 'second chances' at salvation to you ? It doesn't sound like it to me !

How can there possibly be an "ever" AFTER "forever"? If there is no end of "forever"...then nothing, not even "ever" can follow it. This error is due to the mistranslation of the word "aeon" in the Bible. Some spell it "aion", or "aionian life".....do a word search on this because it will reveal a lot of things to you.

Do you actually believe this as a verse to be taken LITERALLY? Revelation 1:1 explicitly tells us the the Book of Revelation is "SIGNIFIED"....it's message is given in signs and symbols which are to be interpreted as being SPIRITUAL. God's Kingdom is "spiritual", and we who enter it must also be "spiritual" beings. Spiritual beings cannot be affected by LITERAL fire and brimstone. And no LITERAL bodies can last through anything like this if it were literal. They would be "ash" within seconds!

If we take this LITERALLY, someone literally puts a "mark" of some kind (that refers to a "beast" they worship) on people's foreheads (or hand) because they "worship" some kind of "beast". Do they get a preference for either the hand OR the forehead? And no criteria is given for the choice of either.

How does the "wine of the wrath of God" fit into a LITERAL "cup"? And is there ANOTHER cup involved that is labeled "God's indignation"? And why is it "full strength"? And is there a difference between watering it down and drinking it "full strength"...?? And this "wine" of "wrath" is "poured out into the "cup of His indignation"...and then what? Is it then poured out on someone? This is NOT a good LITERAL picture that can be understood by anyone....unless someone sees something in it that I can't.

And this "God" you worship sure seems to get a lot of enjoyment out of torturing people with LITERAL "fire and brimstone". And who does the tormenting? It only says that the tormenting is done in the "presence" of the holy angels and the "Lamb". And, is the "Lamb" a literal lamb? And if the presence of the "Lamb" and the "holy angels" is required all the time that this is going on, then do the "Lamb" and "holy angels" watch it forever as well??

What I am trying to get you to see is that this verse is only SYMBOLIC in meaning. It is a SPIRITUAL VERSE that is supposed to be interpreted SPIRITUALLY. Every word, like "wine", "wrath", "mark", "Lamb", "fire and brimstone" are REPRESENTATIVE of a "spiritual reality".

God is "love", "merciful", "patient" and has sent His Son (God, Himself, BECAME as a MAN through a miracle "birth" that was very real) to die for ALL....EVERYONE WHO EVER LIVED. That's the God of the Bible. He would NEVER torture people forever! God, Himself, condemned this for those who worshiped Moloch, and he called it an ABOMINATION...see Jeremiah 32:35.

Would our God, who is called "LOVE" do a thing like this Himself?

And once you understand spiritual interpretations, and the meaning of "forever", you will finally understand what the Bible is really saying.

It's the same message as John 3:16. And, there will come a time when "Every knee shall bow, and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord..."...Romans 14:11 The word "every" means EVERYONE WHO WAS EVER BORN (and I even believe that one day all aborted babies will live in God's heavenly...spiritual...Kingdom as well.) And THAT'S the "GOOD NEWS" (Gospel) of Jesus Christ!!

Torture, fire, and brimstone for most of unsaved humanity, up to now, are not very good news for ANYONE!
