The wrath of the Lamb! Can this be the same Jesus? Can these be the same sons of God unto whom is committed the ministry of reconciliation? The very thought seems incongruous! The two ideas appear completely incompatible and hopelessly irreconcilable! And they are until we understand the great purpose and nature of the Lamb’s wrath.

While the two concepts seem contradictory to natural, human reasoning, they are held within perfect balance within the divine nature — passion and gentleness, holiness and love, justice and mercy. The Lamb does not suddenly undergo some fundamental change, laying aside His Lambhood, transformed like the proverbial werewolf into something altogether contradictory, now Himself an Executioner instead of a Saviour. Oh, no! It is not the wrath of One who has transmuted His Lamb nature, for it is the very W-R-A-T-H of the L-A-M-B!

This wrath, therefore, is strikingly unique — not unappeasable rage or beastly savagery inflicting irreparable destruction and d*mnation upon mankind — but instead, corrective, redemptive judgment to break the rebellion of men, to bring them to repentance, and RESTORE ALL INTO HIMSELF AGAIN. That, my beloved, is the Divine Passion of Love — the wrath of the Lamb!

I looked this up today because I woke up this morning wondering WHY God would put WRATH upon this world at the end of the age. This would EXCLUDE everyone else who ever lived. All the "bad guys" (or the good guys) all throughout history would not be affected at all! And we, who live NOW, must experience this "once-in-a-lifetime" occurrence.

I felt almost like a little kid saying, "That's not fair"!!! We, in this age, have to go through all this "bad stuff", but the people who have already died will have missed it all because they aren't here any more!

GOD DOES NOT DO THINGS THIS WAY. ALL GENERATIONS will be affected in the same way by God's judgments. He will not inflict His wrath on just ONE generation. It makes no sense. And it makes no sense because it won't happen that way. IN ONE WAY OR ANOTHER, WE WILL ALL FEEL THE WRATH OF THE LAMB....because it's part of judgment for ALL. Jesus paid the believer's "sin" debt....but there's lots of unjust "works" we must account for as well...I Cor.3:15....AND PAYMENT WILL BE RENDERED.
