ARE YOU REALLY, REALLY SAVED? You can prove it!

FOR FAIR USE AND EDUCATION AND DISCUSSION PURPOSES

I think that every Christian who is reading this has gone through this experience. I have....many times, and in each different "church" and in each different encounter I've had with other "holier-than-thou" Christians.

I don't say that to be mean. It's true that some Christians think they are "saved" MORE than others because they either "do this" or "do that" (things you either don't do, or you don't want to do). But being "saved" is, in a way, like being pregnant...you are, or you aren't.

From day one, I got "saved" through an "Altar call" in the church I attended. I knew ABSOLUTELY NOTHING except I was miserable enough that maybe this would "fix it"....and fix me. But, I didn't realize it at the time, but this was just the first "baby step" of the journey that would take me to where I am today....SAFE AND SECURE IN JESUS CHRIST, and with no fear of who I am and where I am.

But, I'm getting ahead of myself...back to the beginning....

After I was "saved" I didn't realize I should read the bible. I didn't know the meaning of John 3:16 until I heard it on a "Country" radio station 3 years later. And after learning that, I was ashamed I hadn't know that....so I started reading a Bible I had bought. It was a "parallel" bible containing BOTH the KJV and the NIV (one can't go wrong if they have TWO bibles, right?). GOD DID THIS TO ME ON PURPOSE. I found out that they DIDN'T SAY THE SAME THING!! So, which one was correct...both couldn't be, if they said different things! So, began a year or two study on "Which Bible is the REAL one"....and I came to the conclusion that the KJV came to be the LEAST corrupted one. I found this through the book, "Final Authority" by Grady.

And my journey continued....

EVERY church I want to throughout the years told me, in a roundabout way, that I was not "really" saved because I didn't believe certain doctrines...or DO or THINK or BELIEVE certain criteria that they had in order to determine "salvation" (in their own eyes). So, I answered innumerable "altar calls" throughout the next decades. After each one, I would think, "NOW, I am REALLY saved"!! But, any time a doubt came into my mind, I searched out another church...and another "altar call"...and got "REALLY, REALLY, REALLY SAVED...this time!"

It's exhausting!! But, I still felt something was missing....was I really "saved"?? It was according to whom I spoke that determined my "real" salvation. SO I STOPPED GOING TO ALL THE CHURCHES WHICH WERE CONFUSING ME.

AND NOW, WITH THE "BLESSING" OF THE INTERNET....I have SO MANY other kinds of people telling me how "unsaved" I am!! And I just laugh at them!!

Did you know, that according to some:

If you don't wear a "hat" or piece of cloth on your head (while praying), then you aren't "really saved"??? It's the "head covering" issue....and it's a WORK. You are saved by grace through faith. Period!

If you wear any make-up, or dye your hair, or show flesh on your legs (supposed to wear LONG dresses), or wear slacks (like a man)....then you aren't "really saved"! You are saved by grace through faith. Period!

If you don't let your husband (who may really win second-prize in an "Archie Bunker" contest) have complete run of your household...and you...then you aren't "really saved"! You are saved by grace through faith. Period!

If you don't have the "baptism of the Holy Spirit with initial evidence of speaking in tongues, etc", then you aren't "really saved"! You are saved by grace through faith. Period!

If you drink any alcoholic beverage, smoke cigarettes (how about pipes or cigars?), say any "cuss words", or just get irritated at some people (and show it), then you aren't "really saved"! You are saved by grace through faith. Period!

If you call Jesus Christ "Yeshua" or "Yahushua" or "Yahweh", or...or...etc. then you show you are REALLY, REALLY, saved! And, of course, you can't say ANYTHING against the Jews! Ever! You are saved by grace through faith. Period!

This is how you can KNOW you are "saved"...because God said it, and you can believe it!! Nothing, but NOTHING ELSE, is necessary!

Ephesians 2:8-9..."For by GRACE are ye saved through FAITH; and that is NOT OF YOURSELVES: IT IS THE GIFT OF GOD: (vs.9) NOT OF WORKS, LEST ANY MAN SHOULD BOAST.'

And that verse is for EVERYBODY on this earth who draws breath, and EVERYBODY who has ever died as well. NOTHING ELSE IS NECESSARY!

Right now, if you are reading this...if you believe the "simplicity that is in Jesus Christ"...II Corinthians 11:3....YOU ARE SAVED!

Now, don't let ANYONE take away the joy in your salvation !! Relax in Jesus Christ....He's "got your back"...and your soul, already!
