Many times I read articles, or see movies or videos, in which people "fall from grace" and turn away from God. It is called "losing your salvation". And there are "Christians" who believe that one can actually do this. Is it possible??

NO, NO, NO.....A THOUSAND TIMES, NO!!!

Once a person has been put into God's Hand, by God, they can never be taken out of God's hand. Or, if they could, then someone else is more powerful than God. And don't let anyone tell you anything different.

Sometimes Christians who sit in pews of churches, learn they can become "unsaved" AFTER they are saved by grace through faith (Eph.2:8-9). Of course, pastors love to tell "the flock" this LIE because it keeps them coming back ($$$).

John 6:37, 39..."All that the Father giveth me SHALL COME TO ME; and him that cometh to me I WILL IN NO WISE CAST OUT. (vs.39) And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of ALL WHICH HE HATH GIVEN ME I should LOSE NOTHING, but should raise it up again AT THE LAST DAY."

John 6:44..."No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day."

John 10:27-30..."My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: (vs.29) My Father; WHICH GAVE THEM ME, IS GREATER THAN ALL; AND NO MAN IS ABLE TO PLUCK THEM OUT OF MY FATHER'S HAND. (vs.30) I and my Father are ONE."

Ephesians 1:4-5..."According as HE HATH CHOSEN US IN HIM BEFORE THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love; (vs.5) Having predestinated us unto the adoption of CHILDREN by Jesus Christ to Himself, ACCORDING TO THE GOOD PLEASURE OF HIS WILL."

HE CHOSE US.....WE DID NOT "CHOOSE" HIM!!!

We, as people, have NOTHING to do with our own salvation. We CANNOT BELIEVE unless the Father "draws" us!! And we can only come to salvation (to the Father) THROUGH JESUS CHRIST.

Pastors lie to you when they say "You can make a 'decision for Christ' and be saved." THAT IS NOT TRUE! Salvation is a "decision" that has already been made BY GOD, ALONE, before the foundation of the world.

If God counts you as "saved".....BROTHERS, AND SISTERS, YOU ARE SAVED FOREVER no matter what you do on your part!!

This brings me to another point. How do you know if you are "saved", in actuality? You LOVE GOD, you LOVE THE TRUTH, you LOVE THE BIBLE, and you LOVE THE PEOPLE WHOM GOD LOVES. And you "thirst" for more and more truth of God's Word. You "lose yourself" in God...and you gradually lose the things of this world as important to you because Jesus said, "My kingdom is not of this world" (John 10:36) and "The Kingdom of God is within you." (Luke 17:21). We live for, and learn more about that "Kingdom" that is WITHIN YOU who are saved. We don't look for it in this world.

You are NOT SHOWING SALVATION by "going to church", "making a decision for Jesus", following church-made rules, encouraging wars in the Middle East (or anywhere else), loving those who hate Jesus Christ (Judaism), or do "good works" to make a good impression on others, or separating yourselves out of "the ONE "body of Christ" for the "doctrines of men".

God chose you. He will keep you IN SPITE of what you do. You can do nothing without Him once He has chosen you. See John 15:5..."...Without me ye can do nothing." These are the words of Jesus Christ. Will you ARGUE WITH HIM?

There is nothing you can do, eat, drink, or participate in, once you are in His hands, that will defile you in God's eyes. See Mark 7:15...There is nothing from WITHOUT (outside of) a man, that entering into him can defile him: but the things which COME OUT OF HIM, those are they that defile the man." Again, those are the words of Jesus Christ. Will you ARGUE WITH HIM? Our tongues are our greatest defilers. But not even our tongues can cause us to lose our salvation once we are "in Christ"....BECAUSE GOD PUT US THERE. And no man, even ourselves, can "pluck" us out. Those are God's words.

If your pastor tells you anything different, you need a new pastor. But then, I don't advise "going to church" anyway. There is a saying that you aren't a "Christian" by going to church any more than you are a "car" by standing in the garage, either....or something like that.

People are not "saved" just through fear of tribulation on this earth and look to the "rapture" for escape. This is NOT salvation. This is "fear" of the world and what will happen to them, not fear and love of God and His Sovereignty....(see Ps.64:9 and 111:10) And, if you didn't notice, the "body of Christ", or "Church" will be raised on the LAST DAY...and not before!

I agree with you Arlene. I get very tired of hearing "preachers" pound their congregation with false information about it being possible for someone to lose their salvation. This type of message actually disgraces our savior as it implies that Jesus was not/is not powerful enough to bring us complete atonement through His shed blood, so we must "help" Jesus keep ourselves saved by being "good". Thus the ones who "keep themselves good" are "better" christians than those of us who fail everyday in our walk. I also agree with the following passage which you posted:

John 10:27-29 My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand.

It isn't us who finds God, but God who finds us.

Those who are "in Christ" are there to stay! We should all remember, also, that people go to theological schools and colleges to LEARN A PROFESSION. It is a way of MAKING A LIVING. Very few today are altruistic.

I did a study of this when I was searching for New Testament "tithing" (which is NOT scriptural, by the way). I HEARD, and READ, disgusting stories of how to "soak money from the flock" by some who are DOING THIS in the name of "Christianity".

Professional "pastors" have to use any and all means to get their "flock" to come back week after week so the coffers will be filled...and one means is to make them believe that a person can lose their salvation. One is "tithing", another is "one can lose their salvation". People come back from week to week because the pastor will tell them how "unsaved" they may be. They even have a term for it now..."OSAS" (Once-Saved-Always-Saved)...and they go on to tell you how it's not true, and give you new reasons every week why you aren't REALLY saved...see Colossians 2:20-22. I lost count of how many lies are told today FROM THE PULPITS....JUST TO KEEP PEOPLE COMING BACK WEEK TO WEEK to make profits!

Actually, this is the same as with MOST doctors today. They HAVE TO get you on some kind of prescription...because then you HAVE TO go back for refills. It's all in the name of MAKING A LIVING.

It did my heart really good to see someone (you) jump in and agree with this vital doctrine. It's all about being able to trust God with your soul...and that's EVERYTHING.

And we don't have to LEARN (from the pulpit) HOW TO PRAY....all we should do is just talk to God (because He is with you right now) and tell Him your deepest thoughts and cares. There is no "right way" or "wrong way"....just talk to Him! He hears our every thought! You don't even need to speak out loud to "pray"....
