FEAST OF TABERNACLES....And the "manifestation of the sons of God"....Romans 8:19

FOR FAIR USE AND EDUCATION AND DISCUSSION PURPOSES

I believe that ALL THINGS come from God alone (as Job thought as well); and as the Bible tells us in Isaiah 45:6-7...

"That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the Lord, and there is none else. (vs.7) I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the lord DO ALL THESE THINGS."

God said it, and I believe it. ALL THINGS means "all things"...good and bad, light and dark, good and evil. Everything comes from our Lord. So, no matter what happens in this world, GOD IS IN CHARGE OF IT.

Today, I read my emails, and there was one by Steven concerning the Feasts of Israel and the timings. Is this pertinent? I don't know. I do know that they are in the Bible for our benefit, which is to search out the meanings. I have studied ALL the Feasts in depth....except for the Feast of Tabernacles. Up to now, I haven't much understood what it is all about except it is called the "Feast of the Ingathering", and this must be very important for all of us.

After searching for a very long time, I finally found a description that was not a waste of my time....and it will not be a waste of others' time in reading it. And, again, it is from one of my favorite resources, J. Preston Eby. Do I believe EVERYTHING he says? No! I have my own thoughts and opinions. But he does give more "spiritual" insight than I have ever thought of, myself. So, I read what he has to say.

Have you ever wondered about the meaning of Matthew 8:20..."And Jesus saith unto him, 'The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay His head."

A piece of the article in the link which explains this scripture extremely well. As a matter of fact, I've never heard anyone else explain it at all!! And Eby does a fine job!

Jesus Christ IS LORD, but He is not yet the Lord of lords, exhibiting fully that Lordship in His body, to restore creation. If you don't understand that there are some things waiting to be accomplished, then you need help in the scriptures.

There are those who would try and claim and appropriate to themselves the fulness and perfection of God right now. They are already perfect, mature sons, filled with the fullness of God, immortal and incorruptible, ruling and reigning with Christ - so they say. Their boast is louder than their living, and their claims exceed their experience.

The reports of their great power and authority over the creation are highly exaggerated. Christ is NOT coming to evacuate His poor, discouraged, bedraggled, defeated Church to some distant planet to escape the ravages of the antichrist.

HE (Jesus Christ), the Head of the Church, is coming in power and victory to His body, to assume the Headship and Lordship over the Church. When He was on earth He said, "The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have their nests; but the Son of man hath no place to lay His head."

I can assure you, beloved, that Jesus was not in the least concerned about a place to sleep at night! He was the Head, and He was perfect. But there was NOT a perfect BODY imbued with all the fullness of divine life, ready for His Lordship. There was no place prepared for His Lordship to rest, no body to put His Headship upon so that creation would see the COMPLETED CHRIST (this is the "Revelation" that the Book of Revelation is all about), Head and body, in the glory and dominion of perfection.

So the Holy Spirit has been perfecting that body. He has been PRODUCING SONSHIP. He has been making a place for the Son of man to PUT HIS HEAD.

This "joining" of the HEAD (Jesus Christ) to His "body" (us...the "body of Christ) may possibly happen on the Feast of Tabernacles. BUT those who will be "manifested" with Jesus Christ will have proved themselves "worthy" of this "prize of the high calling of God in Jesus Christ"...Phil.3:14

This growth in maturity for these Christians, who are part of this "high calling" is seen in the "sealing" of the tribes of Israel as they progress from having initial salvation faith (Judah) to obtaining this "sonship" maturity (Benjamin) when Jesus Christ (and His "body") is revealed to the world. "Every eye shall see Him".....and we will, then, no longer be "looking through a glass (mirror) darkly".

We will then see Him for Who He really is....and also ourselves for who we really are in God's eyes.
