The trio was slain in separate attacks in the fall of 2011. The elder al-Awlaki, Anwar, and Samir Khan died in Yemen from a missile strike by one of Obama’s Predator drones on Sept. 30, 2011. The younger al-Awlaki, 16-year-old Abdulrahman, was killed a couple of weeks later while eating at an outdoor restaurant. (A fourth American-born citizen, Kamal Derwish, was killed by a Predator drone in Yemen while riding in a car with an al-Qaida leader in 2002.)
Another meteor? 'Fireballs' light up Florida sky
South Floridians who happened to be looking in the right place at the right time Sunday night saw one spectacular light show – possibly a sporadic meteor. The Coast Guard began getting flooded with phone calls about 7:30 p.m., with reports of folks seeing flare-like objects from Jacksonville to Key West, according to Coast Guard Petty Officer 3rd Class Sabrina Laberdesque.
Indonesia sees at least 15 dead in floods and landslides
Flooding and landslides in the Indonesian province of North Sulawesi have left at least 15 people dead, officials say. On Sunday thousands of people fled their homes in the provincial capital Manado and surrounding areas to escape the floods. The water was up to 2m (6ft 6in) deep in some places, a government official told Reuters news agency.

Russian Meteor Blast Bigger Than Thought, NASA Says
The Russian meteor explosion over the city of Chelyabinsk, on Friday (Feb. 15), injured more than 1,000 people and blew out windows across the region in a massive blast captured on cameras by frightened witnesses. Friday afternoon, NASA scientists estimated the meteor was space rock about 50 feet (15 meters) and sparked a blast equivalent of a 300-kiloton explosion. The energy estimate was later increased to 470 kilotons.

Firearms manufacturer ends sales to New York in wake of new gun law
Olympic Arms, a manufacturer of semiautomatic rifles and AR-15-style firearms, announced Tuesday it will no longer be doing business in New York as a result of the state's new ban on assault-style weapons, according to the Times Union. The company explained its decision in a post on its Facebook page: "Legislation recently passed in the State of New York outlaws the AR15 and many other firearms, and will make it illegal for the good and free citizens of New York to own a large selection of legal and safe firearms and magazines. We feel as though the passage of this legislation exceeds the authority granted to the government of New York by its citizens, and violates the Constitution of the United States."

An earthquake with a magnitude of 3.4 shook the East County on Sunday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. "We feel them out here all the time, but not like this one," said Cheryl Gillott, a state parks worker in Ocotillo Wells. "It was pretty big."
5.0 Earthquake Strikes Greece
The first report of a moderate 5.0 quake in Greece this morning was followed two hours later by reports of a second, according to the US Geological Survey. Earthquake Strikes Phillipines
An earthquake in the Philippines may have rattled a few nerves Saturday but not much else. Fireballs reported in skies above Cuba and California
In Cuba on Tuesday, residents reported seeing a bright light in the sky and a loud explosion that shook windows and walls, although there were no reports of any injuries or damage.
