4 Then Paul said, “John indeed baptized with a baptism of repentance, saying to the people that they should believe on Him who would come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.”

5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. 6 And when Paul had laid hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they spoke with tongues and prophesied. 7 Now the men were about twelve in all.

this happened to me one week after I was saved,

the church in the Applichain Mountains of Virginia laid hands on me ...

I spoke in tongues ...


but I did not get the understanding untill a year later...


for I was raised in the Episcopal Chruch and did not understand many things...

I speak in tongues not instantly.

A pastor laid hands on my hands few years ago. I couldn't speak in tongues at that time, just rumbling noise.
Few years later, while worshiping and praising God, suddenly my mouth was fulfilled with a strange language and I spoke in tongues for the first time.
However, it couldn't happen every time I wanted only if I am in deep worship and praise.
Hopefully, it happens now more frequently, I really am longing to go back home now, I mean to our home in heaven not on this earth !!!

Yes, thats where I started, just rumbling noisem
moaning,

later groaning.

The Pastor, in his zeal, grabed my mouth as I moaned, and said,
" Thats the Holy spirit, let him speak. Let him speak. "



I thought if you want me to moan in church, I will moan , but let go of my mouth. and lets go to lunch. LOL>


I left college for the summer and went home to the ways I knew....
and forgot about God for awhile. Only I thought I was following Him close. Not far.


There was much resist to the ways of God in my parents home.
I was raised in Moab, but God delivered me.
I could not deliver myself; all I could do was make choices at the fork in the road....
which would come form time to time in the path of life.
