5.0-magnitude felt in Mediterranean, Israel
10.19.12 A 5.0-magnitude earthquake was felt at 5:35 am on Friday in the Mediterranean Sea.

The US Geological Survey (USGS) reported the earthquake occurred west of Israel's shores, approximately 120 miles northwest of the Egyptian city of Port Said, near the Suez Canal.


Drill to prepare home front for major quake-

For first time, extensive exercise to simulate earthquake with tens of thousands of casualties. The Home Front Defense Ministry will hold an extensive drill on Sunday October 21st 2012, aiming to prepare for a major natural disaster.

The Prophet Daniel says this about the end-time Temple the Jews are using when AntiMessiah defiles it-

Daniel 11:31 And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate.
Does 'sanctuary of strength,' signify a fortified structually designed Temple because of damage to the Temple Mount area due to a recent major seismic event? I believe it does.

And it's that recent earthquake that causes the Israeli Government to re-engage work on the Rambam Gate, setting off arab riots on the Temple Mount and surrounding arab countries sparking the Psalm 83, Isaiah 17 military action.

The very next military conflict is described in Ezekiel 38, & 39.

The big quake that's affects the Temple Mount, is probably centered around eastern Turkey, Azerbaijan area.

This an excerpt from the web-site Biblewriter.com, John Sears Ministries-

Ezekiel 38, verses 1-2: And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, 2 Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him.

Who are these guys?
God knew, when He gave this prophecy, that countries change names and people tend to move around. Therefore He described these people using names of tribal groups dating back to the immediate Post-Flood period. For perspective, the Bible gives us two major passages to help us interpret these two verses: Genesis 10:2-5 and Ezekiel 27:10-15.

Genesis 10, verses 2-5 says:
The sons of Japheth were: Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras. 3 And the sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah. 4 And the sons of Javan: Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim. 5 By these were the coastlands of the Gentiles divided in their lands, every one after his tongue, after their families, in their nations.
"Magog" refers to a people known to the Greeks as the Scythians who settled in Asia Minor, originally in the approximate area of Armenia. Eventually they came to dominate all of Asia Minor (now Turkey) and spread eastward as far as China. The northern portion of Magog included regions that are presently in the countries of Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan.

Note that while portions of Magog included provinces of the former Soviet Union and part of present-day Russia, it would be a severe stretch to say that Magog is Russia.

"Tubal and Meshech" have been identified with the Tubalu and Mushki tribes that settled in Asia Minor (Turkey), who were within the Magog sphere of influence. "Togarmah" settled in the southeastern part of Turkey, near what is now Syria. "Gomer" is known to historians as Gimarrai of north-central Asia Minor.

Please note that all the areas mentioned so far are predominantly Muslim. This will be a predominantly Muslim invasion.

Europe's Fastest-Growing Economy Needs More Oil

Turkey's dependence on imported oil is hampering its growth. Turkey's fast paced economy means demand far exceeds domestic supply.

"Ninety percent of what Turkey uses has to be imported - both oil and gas. It is a growing economy that needs a lot of energy," Frost & Sullivan Energy Analyst Enguerran Ripert said.

He estimates Turkey consumes around 670,000 barrels of oil per day, of which 580-590,000 barrels are imported, primarily from Russia but also from Iraq and Azerbaijan.

One consequence for Turkey is an energy bill, which is not only sizeable, but highly sensitive to increases in international oil prices.

"Our assumptions of tight supply due to booming demand in emerging markets is clearly a risk for the country," U.K. research firm Business Monitor International (BMI) said in its energy report for the third quarter of 2012.

Turkey's reliance on energy imports is a major factor behind its bloated current account deficit, "Every $10 increase in average oil prices adds $4 billion to the current account deficit," said Goldman Sachs Managing Director Ahmet Akarli.

Turkey's balance sheet deteriorates... The energy bill is compromising a lot of growth," and is expected to worsen he said.

Turkey Pipeline Attack Disrupts Gas Flow

An attack on a military vehicle by the Kurdistan Workers' Party, or PKK, wounded around 28 soldiers and damaged a pipeline in Turkey late Thursday, disrupting the flow of natural gas from Iran.

The blast took place in Eleskirt Thursday, a spokesman said.

"The cause of the explosion was sabotage and the gas flow will probably resume in a week," said the spokesman, who declined to be identified.
