Liz, I think that your post is wonderfully simple, yet profound. The P'shat (face value meaning) of Genesis 3:16 certainly does interpret Daniel 11:37 plainly. There can be no doubt that we are now past the midpoint of Daniel's 70th week--by anyone's estimate, leaving dates aside.
Since Jesus promised to shorten the Great Tribulation [not Daniel's 70th week], it stands to reason that the Church must be here, a little beyond the midpoint, in order to continue to restrain evil by our vigilant prayer.

"Obama and the Desire of Women"

Hi Doves!
I’m probably over simplifying this and perhaps it has been noted here and I missed it, but doesn’t Genesis 3:16 tell us exactly what the “desire of women” is?
16 Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.]
A woman desires a man – her husband.
And now according to Daniel 11:37 the coming anti-Christ will disregard this desire:
]37 Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all.
With Obama’s declaration of same sex marriage he has disregarded a woman’s desire to have a man. (I know I speak for other women out there - isn’t it discouraging to see so many attractive good looking men desiring other men?! Yuck!) Maybe that’s too simple, but that’s the way my simple mind works!

p.s. on a personal note, the above thought came to me right after I read Frank’s reply to Pineman gently advising her to ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to her the truth about Obama being the anti-Christ. I said a quick “Lord, if Obama is really the anti-Christ, let your Spirit reveal it to me.” I think I got my answer as the above scriptures, along with a reminder that it would be "as the days of Lot" ( Luke 17:28 ) came instantly to my mind. I just love my Doves family here!
