Now I can tell you that Begley is wrong.

Moeslem Brotherhood is the main actor behind the rebels together with Al-Qaida in it. Yes there are some Christians in it.
But this is important, as soon as Syria falls into the rebels, the next thing is Israel will be invaded. Syria's last dictator is the last stance that could prevent that to happen currently.
Russian boots on the ground from the perspective of democracy is bad but good for Israel. The last truf to fall is Syria before the invasion to Israel. Boots on the ground is needed to prevent Assad from falling. I know he is as jerk as he is but he could stand the cold war without the real war happens while the moeslem brotherhood is different ....
