I think I may have the date of the rapture within a 48 hours time-span. This is because there are 2 days on the earth, as well as 24 time zones at all times, making it impossible to pinpoint the day or hour of anything, let alone the rapture event.



As close as it can be calculated, it is to be Dec 24/25, Christmas day, I believe.



MY THESIS IS THAT HANUKKAH REPLACED THE FEAST OF TABERNACLES. IT IS JUST THAT SIMPLE. GOD DID AWAY WITH THE 7TH SACRED FEAST BECAUSE OF ISRAEL’S SPIRITUAL IDOLATRY.



If one accepts as a fact, that Hanukkah is a replacement feast for Tabernacles, (as I have come to accept), because of the disobedience of national Israel, which occasioned its loss to them as a judgment of God, then it may mean that it was replaced with the December Feast of Hanukkah. It may also indicate that the rapture of the Church will be governed by Hanukkah and not Tabernacles, as some supposed. Why do I say this? Because Tabernacles is the single feast of Israel THAT NEVER HAD A FULFILLMENT. All the others did, however, Tabernacles was lost to them. Why? Because Jesus, referring to Isaiah said ”Ye hypocrites, well did Isaiah prophesy of you, saying, ‘This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, honoreth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me’”. (Matt 15: 7- . Therefore, God seemingly destroyed this last feast, but in His mercy, He gave them a substitute for it.



The Feast of Hanukkah is that substitute and is 8 days long, the exact same length as Tabernacles, but not as complex. Its major feature is the lighting of the Temple. It roughly corresponds calendar-wise to the Christian Christmas and has the lights, giving of gifts, etc. It celebrates the retaking of the Temple from the Syrian oppressor, Antiochus Epiphanes, circa 166 B. C.



Hanukkah was being observed when Jesus was born. When He came to the temple that year, He did not immediately show Himself, but delayed until the 4th day. In John 10:22, the scriptures record “And it was at Jerusalem the feast of the dedication (Hanukkah), and it was winter. (23) And Jesus walked in the temple in Solomon’s porch. (24) Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto Him, How long dost Thou make us to doubt? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly. (25) Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not; the works that I do in my Father’s name, they bear witness of Me. (26) But ye believed not, because ye are not of My sheep, as I said unto you. (27) My sheep hear my voice and I know them, and they follow Me. (2 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of My hand, (29) My Father, who gave them to Me, is greater than all, and no man is able to pluck them our of My Father’s hand. (30) I and My Father are one.”



Here Jesus asserted His Deity. He proclaimed plainly to them that He is God, the Son, the second member of the Triune Godhead. This was in the Feast of Hanukkah, just before His death at Passover.



Further, He was, I believe, speaking of the rapture event in verses 27-29. The Greek word “Harpazo” is found in the language in this passage.



I had thought that Nov 11, 2011 was the beginning of the 40 days of Noah’s type. But, as it turns out the first of the month was actually Nov 14, three days later. From this start count, 40 days arrives at 12/23 when counting the 14th as the first day. From there, the next count of 110 days (Noah’s time on the water) lands on Apr 11, 2012, the last day of the first half of Daniel’s 70th week. The very next day the antichrist will make his infamous proclamation from a wing of the temple, thus becoming the “abomination of desolation”.



Now, brethren, I believe that Jesus was born in Hanukkah on December 25. So, since Hanukkah is the birthday of the King, we have the rapture occurring on His birthday anniversary in 2011. Folks, no one was a more ardent believer in Jesus being born in September on the Feast of Tabernacles than I. But, things change. Here is why I am sure He was born December 24/25, 4 B. C. I know that His wonderful name JESUS was ordered in heaven. “And she shall bring forth a son, and thou (Joseph) shall call His name JESUS; for He shall save (SAVIOR) His people from their sins. Now look at the gematria of this holy first and second names.



Jesus: 888 Savior 14 888x14 = 12,432 days = 34 years & 14 days.



Textbook perfect conception is 280 days. Thus, 12,432 – 280 = 12,152 birth to death.



Death occurred on Passover. It happens that the Passover in view was April 7, 30.



Count back exactly 12,152 days to His holy birth = December 24/25, 4 B. C. There is no zero year.



Count back exactly 280 days to His conception = March 20/21, 4 B. C. the spring equinox.



Gematria backs up what the early fathers of the faith believed. THIS ALSO BACKS UP THE THESIS THAT HANUKKAH REPLACED TABERNACLES INASMUCH AS IT CONTAINED THE BIRTH DAY OF JESUS CHRIST.



I submit that this may be the secret to the timing of our home going. Instead of Dec 20/21, we need to fix our eyes on Dec 24/25. And even Dec 27/28 if need be. Of course, it could be none of these, but I feel that it will be one or the three.



Here is something else that may be the reason for the near winter solstice birth of Jesus. The winter solstice is Dec 21, making the last day of Autumn Dec 20. It was this event day on which Nimrod’s son Tammuz was said by his mother to have been slain by a wild boar, and Dec 24 is the day of his resurrection, according to his mother. She was called back then the Queen of heaven, and later was called Ishtar. Tammuz was the first satanic imitation of Jesus Christ, which belief in him caused the building of the Tower of Babel, and brought judgment for a second time upon the whole world. God confused their language and made it into many, so that they could not understand one another, and the building of the Tower ceased.

Hanukkah is the 8th Feast

Hanukkah is 8 days in length of time

Haunkkah is 88 days after Rosh Hashana

All of these are associated numerically with Jesus.



Penecost, the birth of the Church until Hanukkah is 280 days, (gestation period).



In John 10:27 where Jesus said My sheep hear my voice is the word “harpazo” used



The name Enoch means “dedication”. Hanukkah is the Feast of the Dedication.



I know that many folks don’t like the idea that Jesus was not born in Tabernacles, and therefore don’t believe that He wasn’t, but remember that this may indicate that Hanukkah REPLACED Tabernacles and thus, the birth of Jesus, which was scheduled to be on Tabernacles was lost to national Israel, to be MOVED to Hanukkah. As I have already said, but it bears repeating, I think this is a great mystery revealed by the gematria count. And I know that the early Church fathers believed it. And as to the “star”, it seems to fit the conjunctions present in 4 B. C. and in 3 – 2 B. C.

With all due respect, I must take exception several points in your last post:

Would you help clarify a few points?




1. Where do you find in scripture that the Feast of Sukkot (Tabernacles) was "done away with"?


I see just the opposite in Lev 23:41


And you shall celebrate it a feast to YHWH, seven days in a year, a never ending statute throughout your generations; in the seventh month you shall keep it.


2. Yahshua (Jesus) may have celebrated Chanukah, but scripture does not make it clear that He did. It seems that the 4th day you refer to was during the Feast of Sukkot, NOT Chanukah. Am I missing something? See John 7:2-14.


3. With regard to the calculation between Pentecost and Chanukah, please clarify. As I see it, there are only a little over six months between Shavuot (Pentecost) and Chanukah. Pentecost occurs the first week or so of the third month in the scriptural calendar; Chanukah occurs well into the ninth. There is only about 190-200 days in between those two feasts. Try counting from Abib 1 and you will see one full gestation period of 266 days (from conception to birth, 280 days is from womb prep to birth.)


4. We DON"T know when Yahshua was born because He purposely left that out. How can you be so sure about Chanukah? The numbers are all fine and good, but as we have all seen, that doesn't make it absolute.


And as an aside, I will step on my soapbox for just a few lines:


Even if we can conclusively prove that He was born around December 25, I ask Christians WHY do we celebrate as we do? Shouldn't we be practicing pure religion as defined by James instead of covering ourselves with gifts? If it is truly HIS birthday, why do we not honor Him with our gifts, by giving to the poor and needy, not to each other? Why do we not give sacrificially to the oppressed? I am sickened at the greed and covetousness that emerges at this time of year--and our children are learning nothing but ME.

Hi Gerry,

I appreciate your research about the possibility of Christ returning for the church on Hanukkah. I had not realized there were so many 8's associated with Hanukkah:

"Hanukkah is the 8th Feast

I had also been thinking about Christmas and Hanukkah coinciding this year and how it is Christmastime when many countries in the world recognize Jesus's birth and sing carols praising Jesus. I think that in itself would make Christmas an ideal time for Christ to return, when there are many people on earth singing praises to Him!

Psalm 145:3
Great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; his greatness no one can fathom.


Even the name Hanukkah is derived from the word dedication, which also is the same word the name Enoch is derived from, Enoch being the first in the Bible to be "caught away" (raptured) by God.

Finally, the parable about the 10 virgins, and only half having oil for their lamps when the Bridegroom arrived does remind me of the Hanukkah story and of oil being miraculously provided and also the rapture:

"Why I Still Believe This Hanukkah"

Dear Doves:

We all know that satan will use all kinds of lie to deceive Left Behind People.
What could be the Lord's answer to save them from it?
I believe that undeniable Scriptural evidences which tie in with all the current signs are the
most powerful weapon to lead them to find the truth.
(For this reason, I don't believe that the Rapture takes place on any regular day.)

And as far as I remember, this Hanukkah is the first time that all the overwhelming evidences
are perfectly fit together. In my opinion, these undeniable evidences could be convincing enough
to save a great multitude of people from deception. God is Love and He is the one who made all
these evidences perfectly to fit together, so it doesn't make sense if He throws them away.

If nothing happens until the last day of Hanukkah, the next possibility is Passover & Pentecost
in 2012, and we all know that the current tension in the ME can't last that long. So I still believe
and hope that the Judgment could begin over the weekend and the Departure could occur on
the 8th day of Hanukkah. God always works at the last moment, and it'll happen suddenly and
swiftly.
