I'm sorry, I really feel this is a gross over-reaction to attempts to keep us safe!! I do NOT want government over-control, but the primary function of government, as set up by our founding fathers, was national defense!!
I have a very personal story myself, having observed suspicious behavior, and reporting it. When my son and I were in NYC in the spring of 2004, we were waiting in a subway station for a train. Two young middle-eastern men walked up on the platform, and stood not 10 feet from us. The were dressed nicely in western clothes, and one carried a box, about 10" square, wrapped in brown paper, and tied with a string, by which he was holding it. (No fingerprints on a string!!) After a couple of minutes, he casually walked to the end of the platform, where the tunnel began, and put the package on the floor, and walked casually back to his "friend." I immediately knew that this was something to be concerned about, and alerted the subway personnel. My son and I walked quickly up the steps, and once on the street, nearly ran, as fast as we could, without attracting undue attention, away from the station. Within 30 seconds, we heard sirens headed our way. I have NO idea what I stopped, but I am sure, beyond a shadow of a doubt that I stopped something serious! Furthermore, I knew, that I knew that the Holy Spirit had alerted me to take note of the situation, and very quickly analyze it, and it's import!
All that to say, we, as citizens, are the very best defense that this country has...especially, Christians, tuned into the Holy Spirit's promptings!
