WHY THE TITLE RAPTURE BIBLE PROPHECY FORUM?
WE STARTED OUT BELIEVING IN A 7 YR PRE TRIBULATION RAPTURE
BUT FOUND OVER TIME AROUND 2006 THAT THE BIBLE DOES NOT SHARE A
BIBLE VERSE WHATSOEVER INDICATING A 7 YR PRE TRIBULATION RAPTURE

BIBLE VERSES EVIDENCE:

While Yahusha/JESUS was alive, He prayed to His Father: "I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.  John 17:15 (KJV)

Yahusha/JESUS gave signs of what must happen before His Return:  "Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:"  Matt. 24:29 (KJV)

As in the Days of Noah and Lott:
Official: Pentagon set to certify repeal of
'don't ask, don't tell' -- is likely to come Friday

Military watchdog: 'Political payoff' to LGBTs coming to fruition

It's nothing more than a "political payoff to the LGBT Left," says a military watchdog in describing today's anticipated announcement from Defense Secretary Leon Panetta that he has decided repealing the "don't ask, don't tell" military policy will have no negative impact on the military's ability to fight.

According to The Associated Press (see below), Panetta has decided to end the ban on homosexuals serving openly in the armed services and certify that repealing the 17-year-old prohibition will not hurt the military's ability to fight. With that announcement -- and accompanying similar "certifications" from President Barack Obama and Joint Chiefs chairman Admiral Mike Mullen -- repeal of the ban would become effective 60 days later, which could open the military to open homosexuality by the end of September.

Elaine Donnelly, president of the Center for Military Readiness (CMR), says the fact the announcement is coming on a Friday afternoon "indicates that this is nothing to be proud of." She describes it as "an obvious political payoff to activists of the [lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender] LGBT Left, delivered at the expense of combat soldiers and Marines whose voices were heard but ignored" during last year's working group process at the Pentagon, she says.

And making the move on Friday afternoon also makes it less likely that "anyone will report on the many 'thorny issues' and serious social problems expected to ensue," she adds.

"Nevertheless," Donnelly continues in a press release, "on the day that President Obama signs a paper 'certifying' that no harm will come to the military when repeal is implemented, he will own the San Francisco Military that he has created."

The CMR president also remarks that Panetta, who moved into his position as Defense chief less than a month ago, "is beginning his term...by letting down military men, women, and families who were led to believe that their views would be heard and respected." That did not happen, she notes, creating the impression that military people "don't care" about the issue.

"History will hold accountable President Obama, members of the previous lame-duck Congress, and gay activists who misused the federal courts in order to impose LGBT law and policies that will undermine morale and readiness in the All-Volunteer Force," she concludes.

WASHINGTON - Pentagon chief Leon Panetta has decided to end the ban on homosexuals serving openly in the armed services and certify that repealing the 17-year-old prohibition will not hurt the military's ability to fight, officials said Thursday.

His decision, which was expected, comes two weeks after the chiefs of the military services told Panetta that ending the ban would not affect military readiness. Dismantling the ban fulfills a 2008 campaign promise by President Barack Obama, who helped usher the repeal through Congress and signed it into law late last December.

But the move also drew vehement opposition from some in Congress and initial reluctance from military leaders, who worried that it could cause a backlash and erode troop cohesion on the battlefield.

Defense officials said the announcement will be made Friday afternoon. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because the decision had not been made public.

President Barack Obama is also expected to certify the change. Repeal of the ban would become effective 60 days after certification, which could open the military to homosexuals by the end of September. The law setting the stage for repeal required the defense secretary to certify to Congress that lifting the ban would not harm military readiness.

The so-called "don't ask, don't tell" policy was adopted during the Clinton administration and has come under an onslaught of legal challenges, including a federal court ruling in early July that ordered the government to immediate stop enforcing the ban. Days later, however, the Obama administration appealed the ruling, saying that abruptly ending the ban would complicate the orderly process for repeal that had already be set in motion.

A San Francisco appeals court agreed but added a caveat: The government cannot investigate, penalize or discharge anyone for being openly homosexual.

The military services have conducted extensive internal studies and about five months of training to gauge how troops would react to the change. A survey of U.S. troops last year found that some two-thirds didn't care if the ban is lifted. Opposition to the repeal was strongest among combat troops, particularly Marines. But as training has gone on this year, senior military leaders have said they've seen no real problems.

Former Defense Secretary Robert Gates, who retired at the end of June, told The Associated Press in an interview that he saw no roadblocks to the repeal and that people had been "mildly and pleasantly surprised at the lack of pushback in the training."

The bulk of the military has been trained on the new law, including a complex swath of details about how the change will or will not affect housing, transfers or other health and social benefits. In most cases, the guidelines demand that homosexual men and women be treated just like any other soldier, sailor, airman or Marine. There will be differences, however, since same-sex partners will not be given the same housing and other benefits as married couples. Instead, they more often will be treated like unmarried couples.

Sen. Jack Reed, D-R.I., a former Army Ranger, said in a statement Thursday that the ban was "an ineffective policy that prevented talented, highly skilled soldiers from honorably serving our nation."

Aubrey Sarvis, executive director of the Servicemembers Legal Defense Network, a national organization representing homosexual troops, said Panetta's action is welcomed by homosexual troops "who have had to serve their country in silence for far too long."
