Muslim World forced 900.000 Jews to become refugees

Close to one million Jews were forced to leave Muslim nations after the first Arab war on Israel.


Danny Ayalon reminds the World that both Arabs and Jews became refugees in the years 1948-1961.
Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon is one of 900.000 Jews that had to flee Islamic oppression after the state of Israel was reborn.

This is what he wrote in Jerusalem Post last week:

My father, his parents and family were just a few of the almost one million Jews who were expelled or forced out of Arab lands.

My father and his family were Algerian, from a Jewish community thousands of years old that predated the Arab conquest of North Africa and even Islam.

Upon receiving independence, Algeria allowed only Muslims to become citizens and drove the indigenous Jewish community and the rest of my family out.

While those Arabs who fled or left Mandatory Palestine and Israel numbered roughly 750,000, there were roughly 900,000 Jewish refugees from Arab lands. Before the State of Israel was reestablished in 1948, there were almost one million Jews in Arab lands, today there are around 5,000.

Financial economists have estimated that, in today’s figures, the total amount of assets lost by the Jewish refugees from Arab lands is almost twice that of the assets lost by the Palestinian refugees.

Normally the definition of a refugee only applies to the person that fled and sought refuge, while a Palestinian refugee is the person that fled and all of their descendants for all time.

So, according to the UNRWA definition of conferring refugee status on descendants, I would be a refugee.

My comment:

Since the state of Israel took good care of its “refugee problem”, this is the forgotten part of our modern history.

Many Jews that searched for a new home in Zion, lost all their properties in Muslim nations of their origin. They were forced to leave, rejected citizenship.

The Arabs who left “Palestine” in 1947-1948 were not forced to leave. The first Jewish Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion appealed to them, to stay and help the Jewish people build a free and democratic statehood.

The Arabs who left to fight with Islamic forces to destroy the Jewish state at birth, has no moral right to call them selves “refugees”. There are two million Israel Arabs who chose to stay behind. They are Muslims who enjoy their freedom inside the state of Israel.

My comment:

If Israel give up more Jewish land, the Jews in diaspora will have no place to seek refuge in the last days. If the secular Israeli Government gives Judea and Samaria over to Islamic occupation, the Jewish nation will have another 500.000 Jewish refugee to handle.

The way Israel handled 8.000 the Israeli leadership forced to leave Gaza, is a proof that giving up land is wrong.

It is wrong, because the Bible says it is wrong. Zion belongs to the scattered Jews who have returned home to Eretz Israel.

The word Easter is not to be found in the Bible. The Messiah was celebrating a Jewish feast with his students. And they prepared the Passover meal, like the Jewish customs demanded, and the Messiah directed.
