THINKer, DOer, BELIEVEr
If we think without doing nor believing…no action…what did Jesus say?
Matthew:3:9: “And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.”
Matthew:5:17: “Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.”
Matthew:10:34: “Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.”
Matthew:24:44: “Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.”
Luke:12:40: “Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.”
If we do without thinking nor believing…wrong actions…what did Jesus say?
Luke:13:27: “But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.”
If we believe without thinking nor doing anything…lukewarm…what did Jesus say?
Revelation:3:16: “So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold[thinker?] nor hot[doer?], I will spue thee out of my mouth.”
Believers are Thinkers with eternal life
John:5:39: “Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.”
Non Believers are Wrong Thinkers
John:16:2: “They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service.”
Everyone that [heareth] thinks & believes but doeth not … shall be likened unto a foolish man and shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven
Matthew:7:26: “And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:”
Matthew:7:21: “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.”
Everyone who knows [thinks], believes and doeth the will of God the Father…what did Jesus say?
Matthew:12:50: “For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.”
Mark:3:35: “For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother.”
John:4:34: “Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.”
Jesus’ Parable of the 2 Sons…compares Believer who knows God’s will (Thinker) and Doer???
A) 1st Son will not(believe not) but repented and went(did).
B) 2nd Son will(believe) but went not(doeth not).
Matthew:21:28-31: “But what think ye? A certain man had two sons; and he came to the first, and said, Son, go work to day in my vineyard. He answered and said, I will not: but afterward he repented, and went. And he came to the second, and said likewise. And he answered and said, I go, sir: and went not. Whether of them twain did the will of his father? They say unto him, The first.”
The Best is of course the Believer who is also a Thinker and Doer right?
Matthew:7:24: “Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:”
We are often being tossed to and fro about ourselves at times being Thinker, Doer, Believer…until the day we see Him.
