Daniel Matson: The 2010 Tunisian Tip-Off

March 25, 2011It would probably be an understatement that the world is quickly changing and especially in the region of the former Roman Empire. The “democratic” uprisings sprang up, it seemed, overnight and it began in the country of Tunisia on December 17, 2010. While listening to Glenn Beck, he was putting the pieces together concerning the New World Order and wondered when its “Archduke Franz Ferdinand Moment” that sparked the nations to initiate World War I, might have occurred in this present crisis. So Glenn referred to the uprising in Tunisia as that possible moment that began the multiple changes required to set up this New World Order. For us believers looking for the fulfillment of Bible prophecy, this could also be termed the moment that sets in motion the revival of a world empire that centers around the area of the former Roman Empire as detailed in the Book of Daniel and Revelation

Did that moment really begin in Tunisia on December 17, 2010?

Fruit seller, Mohamed Bouazizi, 26, set himself on fire in protest of continued governmental harassment of his business. His act on December 17, 2010 launched the Tunisian Revolution with great emotion. He later died on January 4, 2011, but his act resulted in the stepping down of the Tunisian President ten days after his death on January 14, 2011. The success then of the revolution in Tunisia prompted the other uprisings in the Islamic countries, since it could be done. On January 25, 2011, the Egyptian Revolution began and since that day many other protests have begun with the latest escalation in Libya.

The big question then is, are there any indicators that this sweeping revolution is figured into the end time countdown? Does it substantiate the fact that this is probably a revolutionary movement that further sets the stage for the time of the end? Upon analysis, it looks to be that way on many levels.

December 17, 2010 came 60 days after October 18, 2010, which was one of the largely anticipated days factoring into the countdown from the capture of the Temple Mount on June 7, 1967. Forty 360-day years from the Temple Mount capture was November 8, 2006, which was Heshvan 17 and the anniversary beginning day of the Flood. This span of time was a total 14,400 days, which could also be expressed as 120 x 120 days. 120 days before November 8, 2006 was July 12, 2006 and the start of the Hezbollah-Israeli War. But 60 days after November 8, 2006 was January 6, 2007 and the naked eye appearance of Comet McNaught (C/2006).

It was then determined that four 360-day years (1,440 days) after November 8, 2006 was October 18, 2010, which was also another anniversary day of the Flood. It was the day Noah and his family were sealed into the Ark seven days before the Flood began–it was Heshvan 10. On this day Comet Hartley was near the star Capella (the She-Goat) and 120 days before, Comet McNaught (C/2009) was in the same place by Capella on the Summer Solstice of 2010. So in a reverse placement of the comets, with these being at the period of 120 days prior to a day of Noah, it should not be surprising that the Tunisian Revolution began 60 days after October 18, 2010 on December 17, 2010. It is indeed an interesting pattern, but there is more to the equation. Sixty days after October 18, 2010 means that December 17, 2010 comes 1,500 days after Heshvan 17, 2006 –exactly. This means the day of the Tunisian Revolution comes at an interval of 100 days, which has been a demonstrated pattern before on this website. 700 days prior to December 17, 2010 was January 17, 2009 and the cease-fire day of Israel’s Operation Cast Lead. However, 1,500 days from the anniversary day that the Flood began, as marked by Heshvan 17, 2006, should bring another number to mind from the Flood story. In the story of the Flood, God sends winds upon the Earth after 150 days that coincided to Nisan 17, which is the day that Christ was raised from the dead. However, here we have 1,500 days after the Flood day when the winds indeed seem to have begun among the sea of nations.

But are the numbers not convincing? Then consider this. December 17, 2010 coincided with Tevet 10, according to the Jewish Calendar. Tevet 10 is a day of mourning as it is the anniversary day that Nebuchadnezzar began to lay siege on Jerusalem in 589 BC. It was destroyed with its Temple a year and a half later on the 9th of Av in 587 BC. And remember, World War I began on the 9th of Av 1914. So could Tevet 10, 2010 signal the beginning stages of the necessary political realignment to set the stage for the Antichrist? Tevet 10 was the beginning day for Nebuchadnezzar’s siege, whereas the 9th of Av was its end. In a reversal then, 1914 saw the end date, where 2010 saw the beginning date.

There is also another factor to consider and that is the commencement of the revolution in Egypt on January 25, 2011. This day comes up as day 40 from the start of the Tunisian Revolution. It would appear then that this continuance of the revolution is indeed significant considering that 40 is a number themed to the Flood or the Exodus from Egypt.

There is much to still consider given the newness of this timeline. It will be seen later how much more the Flood narrative fits the coming days. It has always seemed to this author that much of the detail in the Flood account may have application for the second round of judgment as a guide. So far its themes have proved to repeat themselves such as 40, 100, 120, and now 150. But there may even be more to discover in the days ahead.

It would seem then that the political swell in the Middle East is making way for the reformation of the peoples of the former Roman Empire. That these nations are primarily Islamic and that the rest of the European segment is also moving that direction does seem to suggest that Islam is a force of the End Time. There is still plenty of time to see it all unfold, but unfold it will with clarity for those who have studied and know Bible Prophecy. There may be some initial surprises, but in the end, the Bible will stand alone beyond the limits of time.
