I recently visited the UK. For fun, I thought I would stop by the Black Isle. I went to Cromarty and the Courthouse and Cemetery there. I spoke with locals and officials, but could not find any history of any Millikens there. Several other names dominated the courthouse documents. I also noticed that there were several living Millikens in the Inverness area. It could be that they are decendants of the clan that stayed behind in Scotland. Also, I found many more Millikens in the Dublin phone book. Seems it was more common there than in the whole of Scotland. Any ongoing speculation where Thomas Milliken came from Scotland originally? Or has that story been disproven? (Only the Daybook that Michael mentions could tell...)
