Steven Ben DeNoon begins this message of Isaiah 17 by telling us that Damascus' demise will be by a "REVOLT". That is the way, in the Hebrew, it reads. Haven't we all been taught that it well may be by a Nuclear Bomb because it says, "By Morning, she is no more? If you look at Damascus now, it is a heap of ruin from the constant revolt taking place by various groups of fighters over the past SIX YEARS.

So, Who is it that occupied Damascus for hundreds of years? It was none other than "cousins" of Israel who had come to accept Christ/Yahusha as their Messiah. They were among those that sat at the feet of Yahusha as He taught and who came to Him to be healed. Did you know that the wives of Jacob (Leah & Rachel) were Syrian?

What does that mean to us? It means we have been taught wrongly about Syria and wrongly believing our leaders that are saying that Assad, the president of Syria, has to go because he is poisoning his people. That is contrary to what is coming out of the mouths of Christians in Syria who are begging for the American people to understand that Assad is the only one who ever allowed Christians to freely practice their faith.

Who is producing the poison in Syria in those warehouses? None other than those groups that have been set up with equipment and ammunition plus all the funds they would need to wipe out the Christians in Syria and the president who has given liberty to them to believe in Yahusha as their Messiah even though he, himself, is a Moslem..

But, here is the important part as Steven explains it. The remnant that is spoken about here are the Remnant of the House of Israel who have occupied Damascus. Notice it speaks of remnant. Notice also that the scripture speaks of the House of Jacob shall wax thin. Those are these poor, homeless Syrians who are, in fact, of the House of Israel and cousin to those in the Land of Israel and they are wandering the Wilderness of the Land east of present day Israel. Goodness, we have read stories of one group of Syrian Believers who settled atop a hill in their tents. There were groups of rebels trying to remove them but The God of Israel kept them safe.

That brings up another subject that...NOW...makes perfect sense. We have read of the many scriptures that speak of the Land of Bozrah and that the Remnant will be kept safe in Bozrah. We have posted several articles here on this Forum about Bozrah but here is the kicker.

While we knew about Bozrah, we did not know until this lesson given here by Steven Ben DeNoon, that these were not some Christians caught up out of the four corners of the Earth but are in fact, speaking of the very cousins of the Israelites in the Land of Israel and elsewhere in the world whom Christ said He came to save.

He didn't come unto the House of Judah but told His Disciples to preach the gospel to all of The Lost Sheep of The House of Israel. Matthew 15:24 KJV "But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel"

Do we now understand what our churches have been teaching us were not scriptural truths but designed by Jesuit teachers to mask the perpetrators of the End Days events and the actual days themselves.

Look! It has been six long years that Damascus has been under siege. It is, by all accounts, a "ruinous heap".

I propose, that, like so many other truths that God's Spirit is making known to those that seek the Truth, that we now have learned that Damascus, a city full of true believers of Yahusha, has been deliberately bombarded with shelling, driving the Christian believers out of their homes to seek shelter in the Wilderness of Bozra as fore-told in the scriptures.

The prophet Micah speaks about this huge end time gathering and exile of the saints at Bozrah. The prophecy is laid out for us here in Micah 2:12-13. 12 I will surely gather all of you, O Jacob; I will surely gather together the remainder of Israel. I will set them like sheep of Bozrah. Like a herd in the midst of their pasture they will be in tumult from people. 13 The one who breaks out before them goes up; they break through and pass the gate, going out through it. Their king passes before them, Yahweh at their head?

And who is doing this? It is various people, not nations. While it is true, 54 nations are gathering in the Middle East for an End Day battle, it is the various rebels groups that have been given the means by these nations to do the fighting within the nation of Syria and the city of Damascus.

The six year old war in Syria has managed to fulfill many prophesies found in the Jewish and Christian Bibles, and more recently the famed prophecy of Isaiah 17; Damascus becoming a "ruinous heap" is happening right before our eyes. Most have never really understood the remainder of chapter 17 and thus have missed out on some very startling facts. Isaiah does far more than just speak of the demise of Damascus, but he tells what will start the decline of the Capital Syria, and even who will be effected, what their relationship will be to Israel. Furthermore Isaiah shows the timeline of redemption by these events.
