There is the story in the Bible of the Samaritan woman at the well. We must first realize that Samaria was a part of Israel in which there lived people who were looked down upon by the Hebrews because they were considered less...not completely Hebrews but a mix of Hebrew and Syrian.

Jesus Christ, one day, went to Samaria, to the dismay of his apostles. He stopped at a well for a drink. A Samaritan woman came to the well and Christ asked her for a drink. She asked Him why He would even bother talking to her, she wasn't anyone special.

Christ answered her saying that she had 5 husband and the man she lived with now was not her husband. He knew all about her yet He, not only spoke to her... telling her that whoever drank of the water He gave would never be thirsty again. Oh, don't you just know she wanted that so she wouldn't have to keep coming back to the well? But Christ asked something of her first. He asked her to give him a drink of water.

Christ was speaking of a Spiritual matter that gives life to the Soul within the human body.

What does water represent? It is Life.

Before Christ could give her Eternal Life, she had to surrender her life. Do you see it? She had to reach out for it. God does not force Everlasting Life on anyone. They must surrender their life first and then He would give His Living Water (Ever-lasting Life)

When Christ met people who were sick, He knew they had to make changes in their principals of living; their purpose of living. They had to make changes in order to receive His complete healing. Have you ever heard of doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a change? Yes, we have. The answer is that there MUST BE A CHANGE MADE before there will come the healing that we are seeking; whether through doctors, pills or other physical aids.

The Body is made up of the Physical and the Spiritual. While doctors can try to heal the physical part, the whole of the body cannot be healed until the Inner Man has surrendered that part of his life to the very one who made him.

in fact, "As a man thinketh, so he is." Proverbs 23:7 Do you know that the mind is connected to the Spiritual. It is the Soul that when you die it continues on in the hereafter. That's a deep thought, isn't it?

Matthew 8:17 tells us Christ took our infirmities and bare our sicknesses that he might minister to every need of humanity. His mission was to bring complete restoration. He didn't just, one day, let himself be nailed to the cross to die for our Eternal Life, he first came to bring them health (physical), peace (mental) and perfection of character (Spiritiual).

The majority of us have Leprosy (a deadly disease that marks the body) because we have been violated by the enemy of our Soul. Every spot that covers the inside of our body is sin and lack of repentance. You know what Leprosy does...it causes healthy parts of the body to dry up, to wither and fall off.

Why is it so hard to reach out for the healing of the complete body? Because, it meant there had to come a change to your Inner Man or you leave yourself open to the same disease that will claim you for Satan.

Was there an example of someone who would not make changes in order to follow Christ? Yes, there was the one who had his riches who was not willing to give them up. His riches and the hold that it had on him was robbing him of giving it all up for the sake of Eternal Life.

It doesn't mean you have to throw the riches away but it cannot be the #1 love of your life. Instead, take those riches and help someone who has less. After all, what we have been given is NOT because of ourselves. It has all been because of the Grace of God. He is just waiting to see what you will do with the gifts He has given you.

Have you seen a patient who is asked to sit down and see what changes can be made to improve their health? Usually, it is, "I don't have time, I'm in a hurry; just too busy." They just want to know what pill, herb or juice they can drink to become well. They want a quick fix. It is like putting a band-aid on a wound but letting the poison that is within keep festering, becoming worse, never healing. Why? Because they are too busy to listen to the best advice they could ever receive that would heal the Body and Soul for Eternity.

Matthew 11:20 "Come onto me all ye who are heavey laden and I will give you rest."

Before his mission Jesus spent more time in healing the sick than in preaching. Wonder why? When a person is sick, he cannot focus on reading God's Word (which is the Bread of Life). He can only focus on the bad shape his physical body is, never realizing that it is the Spiritual man inside who is really sick. It is sick onto Death. And when Death comes, it is the Devil who has robbed him of the Living Water of Christ that would let him live forever.

It is the duty of every man who has received this Living Water to share it with others. There are people who are dying of thirst yet they will not reach out to the One who can satisfy that dryness in their life. It happened to Christ as well. We read that, within His own hometown, there were the greatest sceptics. Why? Because they knew him, saw him grew up within their village. How can this man tell us anything? This man was God Himself, who put aside His Divinity to save his people from their sins.

So, it is no surprise to see the Devil fighting very hard within families to keep them separated through their inability to look beyond the physical and look into the Spiritual Man inside who needs to be cleansed before the Outer man can be totally healed.

So, to whom did Christ minister? The Rich, the Poor, the Free and the Bond. Matthew 20:27

1. Scriptural healing - accept Christ.

2. Mental Healing - meditate on the Word

3. Physical healing - Let the Word do it's healing. It is postive energy that feeds Body, Soul, Spirit (Breath of God in us)

But a warning is given that if One rejects His Saving Grace your doom has been sealed because he has grieved the Holy Spirit. Ephesians 4:30-32 (KJV)

]30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:

32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

In fact, the Believer has been told if the Gospel is rejected to just shake the dust off his feet. It is no longer his problem...it is out of his hands.

Matthew 10:14 BSB "And whoever will not receive you nor will hear your words, shake off the dust of your feet going forth out of that house or that city!
