In days of old, before I have learned the many topics that have been covered on this site, I would have accepted this dear old pastor's teaching as speaking about the Church being the Bride of Christ.

At the beginning, he speaks of the mature woman who is His Bride. Knowing what we know that Israel is the espoused Bride/wife of YHWH with whom He made a marriage contract at Mt. Sinai, we know that she is His True Love, whom will break His heart over and over again through her harlotry even though she accepted the Marriage Contract.

He speaks of His Love for her in intimate details that show the tenderness and deep feelings He has for His Love.

Meanwhile, as this pastor says, there appears a younger woman who meets the son of a Shepherd whom she asks to be under his care. Soon, she falls in love with this man. The pastor goes on to tell how this Son invites this young woman to a banquet/supper where the grandest of food is laid out for her and the other guests This, of course, does point to the Gentile Church. She is the invited guest and not the Bride as so many church pastors have taught.

The pastors of today, not understanding that Israel was the Bride to whom He made a marriage contract with have erroneously placed the Gentile Church into that slot and have her going to her own Marriage Supper as the Bride instead of Bridesmaids.

The Bible speaks of the guests that are invited to the Supper of the Lamb and they must have the proper attire in order to partake. These guest may have been believers all of their life or come to repentance and belief at the very last moment but the Garment that lets them attend the Marriage Supper of the Lamb is the White Robe they receive upon becoming Born-Again.

Then the pastors speaks about the Garden. When you have read the books taken out of the Bible, you know that Paradise is that place to which the Groom has made it possible for His Chosen to return. He did this, as He promised exactly 5500 years after He said He would do it. His sacrifice upon the cross as the Son, fulfilled that promise. Upon the Son's Resurrection, He led the Captive Free. Where did they go? Back to Paradise from where Adam & Eve were escorted out for their sin.

While I appreciate this old pastors words, he speaks like all pastors that see their Gentile flock as the true Bride of Christ. This is not the case. Those who are the Gentiles are the Guests and it is the Whole House of Israel that is the Wife of the Marriage Contract.

That is the way I see it based upon all the books provided on this site by Steven. I may be wrong but until one has been able to place the two houses of Israel together as the two sticks that are rejoined as One and keep the Gentiles as the invited guest made possible after the Price was paid by the Lamb of God, this may not make much sense.

Please do your own research and you will see that the Guest do not go up to a heavenly Marriage Supper but wait for Him to come... to return...when he will defeat the enemy....then He is joined to his wayward Wife and all the guest rejoice at this Marriage Supper of the Lamb.
