The Book of Job is the oldest in the world. Babylonian, Egyptian and Sumerian cultures are written i the style of the Book of Job. The most common date cited for the flood of Noah is 2350 BC. It is commonly taught that the book of Job had to be written just after Noah's flood. Is 2:1 says The Lord shall pierce with a sword the sword Leviathin and shall slay the dragon that is in the sea.

Behemoth and Leviathin: All ancient cultures have references of these two beasts, snakes and dragons. and snakes Job 16:11. He spoke at length about this behemoth, that it was not a hippopotamus, as this animal has a short tail, whereas Job is told to consider the behemoth which had a tail like a tree., and was absolutely huge. And he mentioned men's footprints found besides the dinosaurs' footprint, even over the dinosaur's print. He said a lot more, but I did not take notes.

Next he talks about his calculations as to how old Job would be. He had 10 children, so you calculate a conservative estimate of 2 years for each child.

Counting when those from the time of Adam, Carrico counted up the first 10 generations, and the average age of each man at the time he had his first child would be 49, and I rounded it off at 50. Shem was 100 years old and bore his first child 2 years after the flood. Back then they did not crank out children every year because of their longer lifestyles.

Carrico goes on to say, Job' s children were grown and had their own homes. So David calculated when the child would have grown up and gotten his own home to be 30 years old, and that Job had to be 100 years old in Job ch. 1 verse 1.

Now from Job Ch.38 to 42:9, the Lord appears to Job and teaches him. Job repents, then his 3 friends repent and bring sacrifices. Then Job prays for his 3 friends, and the restoration begins. Now for that tie period I just assigned 2 years. I just guessed. That would make Job 170 years old at this point. When we finish calculating how old Job would be, the scholars calculated that he lived after the time of Abraham, Jacob, an Esau, but that is absolutely impossible as this study shows.

Job 42:10-13, so the Lord gave him twice as much as he had before.
His family came to comfort him. At the end. He had 14000 sheep, and all these other animals. He began once again to gain material wealth. So how long did that take? The scripture also says he had 7 sons, and 3 daughters. He had 10 more children. My calculations to gather al that wealth and these children, add up to 240 years.

Now here in the Septuagint says 238 years. It's amazing that my calculations are just 2 years off from the Septuagint

Now look at Genesis 25:7. At this stage we have Job at 240 years old. I think in a lot of these places, I'm being very conservative but he could have been much older than 240 years. Genesis 25:7 says Job lived 170 years. Here we have Job starting over at his 2nd lifetime. So it's ridiculous to place Job at the time of Abraham. In Gen. 49:9, Jacob he says he is 130 years old, but has not lived the years of his forefathers. So this places Job at a time to be much older than Jacob. Jacob lived in Egypt 117 years, so his age is 147 years and we have Job beginning to live his 2nd lifetime. So it just doesn't compute putting Job to be living at this time.

Job 42:16, 17. After becoming the richest man on Earth and having 10 more children, at 170 years, he lived another 140 years, he saw his sons, his sons' sons, even 4 generations, so he died being full of days. So to our 240 years figure, we have to add another 140 years. So according to conservative estimations, he would now be 340 years old.

We would have to place Job therefore on a conservative estimate. Shem lived to 600, then the next two generations lived into the 400's. After that, the lifespans radically dropped to 239, down to Abraham, at 175. So placing Job after Noah's flood, we can't hardly do that. So this forces us to kick it back before the flood of Noah

So Job would have died during the lifetime of Noah. But if you back up 4 generations, you've got the generation of Jared. Jared's name means "to descend", and I Enoch chapter 6 which speaks of the meeting of the angels before they committed the deed of Genesis 6. There were 200, and they descended to the summit of Mt. Hermon. In the R.H. Charles translation of Enoch, they descended in the days of Jared upon Mt. Hermon. So this would place Job at the time during this time of the corruption of the sons of God.

Job 15:10 Now, at this point, I have calculated Job to be 380 years old. This is the smoking gun. Eliphaz said in the debate with Job, they said they were much older than Job's father. So now we have to ask How old is Job's father? Job said at this time he was grey-headed, and these men are older than Job's father, and with them very aged men whose body does not work too good.

Now we have a 380-year old Job, and we've got his father, and we have two groups of people older than his father. At this point, it is absolutely impossible to rationalize that it was impossible for the Book of Job to be written after Noah's flood because of these lifespans. So we have to seriously think that the Book of Job is antediluvian .


Job Ch 42

Job and his 3 so-called friends. How long was Job's trial? Now I'm reading a writing of a Christian scholar who wrote The Testament of Job who wrote about this.It was based on some very ancient manuscripts that existed in the 1st century, but do not exist any more. They prove that because of Job's book was antediluvian because of the long time periods. He wrote about how long Job's trial lasted before the 3 friends showed up. Job had written that the trials lasted 20 years before the Kings heard about him and went to pay a visit to him to 'encourage' him. So now he is 120 years old. Read Job ch. 30. Chapter 21 of this scholar's book, The Testament of Job says his trial lasted 48 years. So they were writing in terms of the lifespan of the antediluvian world. So if you add this to 120 years, he would now be 168 years old
