Doug has not given up the idea of Yahusha coming for His people but he had begun to question the timing of this event when he was writing a book. He wanted scripture to back up what he was writing and not just put in notions that had been passed down through the years within the churches.

As he asked other pre-tribbers where was the verse that backed up the pre-trib. Rapture, there was not. Here is what there was:

There were the statements by Darby.
There were the statements by Scolfield
There were the statements by those teachers that followed them.

If there were such a thing as a Rapture, wouldn't you think that Yahuah would have provided it?

Well, the answer is....He did...It is called The Resurrection of the Dead and then the Living that will be changed to meet Him in the air. This is where men such as Darby & Scolfield borrowed the concept and put their timing on it so that people would be so concentrated on it so as to be their "Salvation" from what is to come at the hands of Anti-Christ and his False Prophet.

I Thess. 4:16-17 (KJV) "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive [and] remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord."
