5.0 quake hits Davao Oriental
A MAGNITUDE 5.0 earthquake hit Davao Oriental and its environs Saturday afternoon, June 25, with lower intensity felt as far as Davao City, Cotabato and Sarangani, the state volcanology reported.

6.3-magnitude earthquake hits Central Asian Kyrgyzstan
A 6.3 magnitude earthquake struck the Central Asian nation of Kyrgyzstan on Sunday (Jun 26), the United States Geological Survey (USGS) said. There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties after the earthquake hit at a depth of 18 kilometres (11 miles) just after 1115 GMT.

China finance experts have warned that Britain's decision to leave the European Union will "cast a shadow over the global economy". Finance minister Lou Jiwei said the "repercussions and fallout" will emerge over the next five to 10 years. Syrian or Russian air strikes kill dozens in eastern Syria: monitoring group
Air strikes carried out by Syrian or Russian warplanes killed dozens of people in eastern Syria on Saturday, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitoring group reported. It said the strikes hit the village of al-Quria in the eastern countryside of Deir al-Zor province, killing 47 people including 31 civilians.

Flower Mound man faces billions in fines for storing wood
Flower Mound resident Kirk Grady owned some Hunt County property with a woodpile for about three years before he sold it in 2002. Hunt County now wants to collect as much as $2 billion from him in fines for improper waste disposal, he says.
