Over and over again, Steven has, at the leading of the Holy Spirit, been researching and finding excellent studies on topics that pertain to us, the Living Stones that make up the Temple of the Lord God Almighty. This latest one, on the subject of a 3rd Temple in Jerusalem provides the evidence that we must take a strong (Strong's Greek Concordance) look if we want to be true to the Word of God and not to man-made teachings or notions and even deliberate deception.

There have been so many long held opinions regarding what must take place in Israel and one of these is that a Third Temple must be built. Yes, the powers that be, along with their rabbis, may well build their temple but is it the temple that is spoken of by God?

Pastor Carl Gallups does a thorough word study on the word "Temple" to show that pre-conceived notions are not accurate. The first word hieron is used to denote an actual physical temple & always speaking of the temple in the days of Jesus.

2411 hierón (from 2413 /hierós, "sacred") – the entire Temple complex, I.e. All its enclosures (precincts, courtyards) and the central sanctuary.


The next word for temple in Strong's definition is naos; which can be used to denote any temple, even a pagan temple. Or, it speaks, especially of the church/ecclesia/body of Christ.

3485 naós (from naiō, "to dwell") – properly, a sanctuary (divine dwelling-place); a temple (sacred abode), the place of divine manifestation. 3485 (naós) refers to the sanctuary (the Jewish Temple proper), I.e. With just its two inner compartments (rooms).

In II Thess. 2:4 where it speaks of the A/C will exalt himself is the only verse in the New Testament with the word "temple". However the usage here is (naos). This usage gives the possibility, metaphorically of "church".

The Gospel of John uses "temple 12 or 13 times. Every time, it is a literal temple. Only 2 times is the word (naos) used. John, is also the author of Revelation and when he used the word temple in that Book, it was never in the term of a literal temple as the word (hierón) implies. This means that it is not speaking of a literal temple.

In Rev. 11:1-2 "And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein."

2 But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two month", where it speaks of measuring the temple; it may sound like a literal temple and it speaks of measuring the "Outer Court" Why?, what is the Outer Court?

Why did Jesus not mention to John that this was not a rebuilt temple? Because it was not a rebuilt, literal temple. The word (hierón) was used. The temple was already destroyed in 70AD.

Back to the Outer Court, whom does not include "the Worshippers". Think on this subject very carefully. If Jews (who do not acknowledge him) rebuilt the temple, it would not be true worshippers, would it? They rejected Jesus so if they build an earthly temple, they are building for the wrong reasons.

Isn't the True Church being trampled by Rome and apostate preachers accepting Sodom & Gemorrah?

Fifteen (15) times, Temple is written in Revelation and is used to speak of the Temple in Heaven (naos)

There are 450 verses in the Bible that mention temple. There is not a single verse, literally, that mentions a re-built or 3rd temple.

II Thess. 2:4, "Do you not know your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit?"

In Strong's 1965, the word used in Daniel Heykel denotes a palace, a temple, a building in Jerusalem and is used every time except in reference to A/C. Daniel 11:31 uses miqdash, a generic place. Strong's Concordance. Miqdash or miqqedash: a sacred place, sanctuary. Original Word: מִקְדָּשׁ. Part of Speech: Noun Masculine Transliteration: miqdash or ...

I sure can think of a generic place which is already standing on the Temple Mount, which is called sacred by Islam.

In Daniel 12:11, the word "Sacrifice" was added. No literal temple there.

The point is that any temple that may be rebuilt is not scriptural. Sure, they may do it; they've been preparing for it but do not be under dissolution, it is not with the blessing of Jesus Christ, whom has already paid the price, finished it and calls us, the Body of Christ, the living Temple of the Holy Spirit.

Once again, through all of the research being done by Steven, we are learning there is a whole lot that has been done in deception by those that have had the power to do it. Thankfully, Daniel, Enoch and others were told that in the End Days, there would be a generation that would search out the Truth of God's Word. Aren't we that generation?
