Magnitude 4.4 quake jolts NZ capital
A magnitude 4.4 earthquake has given residents in New Zealand's capital Wellington a jolt. The 23-kilometre deep quake struck in the Cook Strait just after 9pm (1900 AEST) on Tuesday and was centred around 20km south of the capital, the country's monitoring agency Geonet says.
