Yahusha/JESUS gave signs of what must happen before His Return:  "Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:"  Matt. 24:29 (KJV)

Does the moon self illuminate?

I saw this post on Face-Book by Steven so I watched it. It asks the question regarding where does the Moon get it's light...from the Sun?

I went to scripture which gives us the answer.


Genesis 1:16-17 "And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,"

It is quite clear that the Father created the Sun, Moon and Stars as individual lights. Each has it's own capacity to produce light. I believe that light was seen when Light, itself, was called forth on the Fourth Day when Yahuah Himself was revealed through the appearance of Yahusha, the only Begotten of the Father.

For way too long, we have been deceived by the teachings of the Scientist rather than The Very Word of God that gives us the answers. These men have told us that the Sun provided the light for the moon but God tells us the Truth...He made each individually with their own light to rule the day and the night.
