Marsha Price was telling me that she was doing research on the word Wormwood, a term we are hearing of more and more now within Bible Prophecy because of the Planet X forecasts of it's soon arrival.

She found in the Aramaic in Plain English that another name for it is Absinthe, which is a very intoxicating drink that is more than just intoxicating but has an ingredient called Thujone, which if enough percentage of it was in the drink, would not only cause hallucinations but death. Those that drink it say, it doesn't do that as much as it just opens up the mind to other levels of intensity. In fact, some brands of this wine feature a Skull n Bones picture on the bottle. It must be pure poison if not watered down. It is the kind of drink that could be given to someone to numb their pain. In fact, it is such a dangerous drink that these users of it have their own organization called The Wormwood Society. It is almost regarded as the ultimate challenge to a drinker to give it a try. Many will not touch it. There are some points that could be made in regard to this topic of Wormwood:

1. Wormwood is bitter and the Bible speaks of a High Mountain or Star called by that name. . Rev. 8:11 (KJV)
"And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter" I don't think any of us have ever considered the fact that this thing that falls into the waters could actually have a chemical in it such as Thujone that would leave people hallucinating should they not die at the time it hits the waters. Apparently, the fish are killed by whatever is in the Star/Mountain of Fire and what is left are poisoned, unable to be eaten. Most Absinthe (not all) has a minty green look to it. Could there be some connection to it's color and bitterness that is tied to the Pale Green Horse of Revelation which has been considered a plague?

2. Two countries that are most widely users of absinthe are France and Switzerland. That, by the way, is also the location of those same Elite who live, bank and do their dirty deeds within their confines of the Alps. They were associated with the Nazi War Machine. In the USA, it was New Orleans that was a huge hotbed for Absinthe. New Orleans is a city developed out of French culture. CERN is located within those same French/Swiss Alps. The Royals believe a little poison ingested is good for you.

3. There is another occurrence in the Bible where a bitter drink is used. If a husband suspected his wife of being unfaithful, she was brought to the High Priest, who would administer a drink of Wormwood (Bitter Waters). If she were innocent nothing would happen to her. However, if she was guilty, her stomach would swell up, her insides dry up and she would die.

4. Then we come to when Yahusha was being crucified. Matthew records that as Yahusha went to the cross, They gave him vinegar to drink mingled with gall: and when he had tasted thereof, he would not drink. (Matthew 27:34).

Mark described the drink as wine mingled with myrrh (Mark 15:23). The drink offered to Yahusha was a cheap Roman vinegar wine, which had a drug mixed in to dull the senses. It was the custom of the Romans to offer a man being crucified drugged wine so that he might more easily endure his cross. Jesus refused the wine, however, apparently so that He could go through his suffering with a clear mind.

As He neared death, Yahusha said, I thirst (John 19:28). One of the prominent effects of crucifixion was overpowering thirst because of the loss of body fluids through open body wounds and perspiration.

David prophesied this Messianic event, saying, "They gave me also gall for my meat; and in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink." (Psalm 69:21).

John understood that Yahusha was conscious of fulfilling scripture. After this, Yahusha knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst (John 19:28). One of the great heresies in the early church was the idea that Jesus was not really human, but as Jesus fulfilled this scripture, He showed that He was truly human and truly deity.

"Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a sponge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to his mouth. When Yahusha therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost." (John 19:29-30). Being at the point of death, He wished to say His final words. His parched lips and throat needed moisture, so he accepted the vinegar.

The vinegar wine was offered to Yahusha, as they filled a sponge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to his mouth.

Hyssop was of extreme significance to the Jews, because it would remind the Jews of the first Passover night when each household among the Israelites in Egypt slew a perfect lamb and put the blood on the doorpost so that the death angel would pass over the houses of the Israelites. Moses had commanded the Israelites, Ye shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the basin, and strike the lintel and the two side posts with the blood that is in the basin; and none of you shall go out at the door of his house until the morning (Exodus 12:22). It was the blood of the Passover lamb that saved the Israelites from death. On the cross, the perfect Lamb of God gave His life's blood to save mankind.

His last words from the cross were, "It is finished". Yahusha came to serve and to carry out the will of the Father. In His life, ministry, and death, He perfectly fulfilled the will of His heavenly Father, and made the perfect sacrifice for mankind.

Angels before the throne of God praise Christ's sacrificial love, Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing (Revelation 5:12).
