4.5-Magnitude Quake Shakes Off Calif. Coast; No Tsunami Threat
A preliminary report from the U.S. Geological Survey says the magnitude-4.5 quake struck at 9:11 p.m. Friday at a depth of about five miles. It was located about 40 miles southwest of Eureka and about 250 miles northwest of San Francisco. The National Tsunami Warning Center says there is no danger of tidal problems and officials in Humboldt County say there are no reports of damages or injuries.

The quake struck Linkou in Heilongjiang Province at 12:22 AM (local time) at a depth of 580 km, the China Earthquake Networks Centre said. No casualties were reported so far, state-run Xinhua news agency reported.

5.8 magnitude earthquake hits parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad
Parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Islamabad were rattled on Saturday by a 5.8-magnitude earthquake.
