Did you know that without Joseph, the adoptive father of Yehshua/Jesus, that Jesus Christ would not have been able to legally claim who he was; a descendant of King David and of Abraham?

Zen, in the below video, tells us that within the Canon, the scriptures are very clear of the lineage of the Righteous Seed. In Luke 3:23, the genealogy of Jesus is written. This is the genealogy of Joseph, the supposed father of of Jesus/Yahshua.

So important was it to establish the legality of Yahshua and His claim to be the messiah that both Matthew & Luke list the genealogy of Jesus. Luke, here, gives accurate account of each man of each generation through which this lineage continued. God knew that the Jews, the hard-heads that they were, would need proof of that claim according to Jewish Law, therefore The Father provided an earthly father, who, not only had these credentials but who was also willing to be a loving father to Mary's first born. The Jews knew this and referred to Yahshua/Jesus as the son of the Carpenter, who according to Jewish Law gave the legal right that Yahshua had to the Throne of Israel.

And as the son of Mary, who bore him, her genealogy of the men goes right back to the same lineage of David and continues to Abraham. This gave Him all the qualifications by which He would be called the High Priest, the Messiah. Yahshua is both priest and king.

But, take note of this portion here of the lineage at verse 30. Do you see the name of Solomon here who was the son of David? No, you do not because Solomon had gone into apostasy. Instead the lineage continued through David's other son Nathan.

30 the son of Simeon, the son of Judah, the son of Joseph, the son of Jonam, the son of Eliakim, 31t the son of Melea, the son of Menna, the son of Mattatha, the son of Nathan, the son of David,* 32the son of Jesse,u the son of Obed, the son of Boaz, the son of Sala, the son of Nahshon,

In the Hebrew word for generation, Toledat, there is something special being told us. In Gen. 2-4, the Yod, which means the right hand of God and is a divine letter, is included in the word Toledat. However; in Gen. 5:1 and other listings of the genealogy thereafter, the Yod is removed. Why? Is there an inconsistency in the Bible? Once again, the Word of God is true.

In the Book of Ruth, chapter 4, verse 18 through 22 where the genealogy is mentioned, it was noticed that when it says, " Jesse begat David, the Yod is once again placed back in the word for generation (Toledat). This is so profound when you connect the meaning to this find. Jesus/Yahshua is from the lineage of King David. The Divine Letter was returned.

When the genealogy became corrupt, God removed the Divine connection but when David was born, God put it back. That is the reason Yahshua is called "The Son of David".

Solomon, who had been the greatest King Israel ever had corrupted his own seed so God side stepped Solomon's seed and listed Nathan, another son of David in the listing of the Generations of the Messiah that went back to Abraham. And did you know that the grandmother to King David was a gentile woman? That says a lot about being grafted into the Seed of the Hebrews.

Nothing is trivial in the Bible and because men search out these hidden truths, we realize just how Holy and True The Great I Am is to His Word.
