This is the most serious issue facing the church today is what is said. All the Calvary Chapel preachers come out of their Calvary Chapel Seminaries. Question asked, "What are they breathing"?

How one considers the Catholic Church is such a serious matter and to say they are just another denomination is a clear indication that they do not understand what the core of the Catholic faith is or they are not solid in the Bible teachings that tell us what the basics of a Bible Believer should be. Here are a few things regarding the Catholic's beliefs. I was one so I know very well that the average Catholic just accepts this without any serious thoughts: they just follow like obedient children of the Vatican Fathers whom have told them they are the only true Christian church.

1. The Lord God is one God and Thou Shall have no other gods before him. Who are these statues of the saints that are assigned a day to be held up in prayer and adoration. These are the gods like the god Dagon who fell on his face when in the presence of the Ark of the Covenant. Yes, the Catholic priests serve the god Dagon. Their Fish Hats are proof of that. And this is only 1 issue that a Protestant, who believes in Salvation through Jesus alone, should understand and walk away from any assembly that believes they can be one in agreement.

2. The doctrine of the perpetual virginity of Mary is another issue because it gives the false belief that only through prayers to her, the Queen of Heaven, can prayers be presented to Jesus Christ. The Bible tells us, I Timothy 2:5 KJV " For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus." There is no room for anyone else in a Christian's life, none.

3. Original sin is not seen the same with a Catholic as a Protestant. The Vatican will insist that only through it's 7 Sacraments can sin be forgiven. They bind the people to Rome. The Born-Again experience is not considered good enough.

4. Transubstantiation which is the changing of the elements into the actual body and blood of Christ. Jesus said to keep the Passover in remembrance of Him. What did He do? He gave His blood and flesh once and for all. He arose from the Dead and sits at the Right Hand of the Father. How can a person actually believe that you must be a cannibal to fulfill the command of Jesus to His followers. Yes, one who eats flesh and drinks blood is a cannibal. These followers knew what the Passover Sedar pointed to and that was the blood of the Lamb that would be spread over the door-posts to save them from the Destruction by the Angel of Death. Jesus took the stripes upon himself that is seen on the Unleavened Bread. He fulfilled it all on the that Roman Cross and it is now empty.

5. Can a Catholic and Protestants marry? Chuck says that Catholics are Christians too. It took Chuck a very long time to answer that one. The Bible says to not be unequally yoked. Guess, if you go to Calvary Chapel, you aren't really unequally yoked from the Catholic Church. For sure, you are not yoked to Christ or you would leave.

6. Who are the Sheep that Jesus spoke about and the others that are not of that flock? We've talked about that often on this site... of how Jesus was speaking of The House of Israel and those not of that flock are the Gentiles who have joined themselves to the flock. It is the Jews (The Southern Kingdom of that housed the Sanhedrin Council who rejected Christ. Christ withdrew from Jewry and sent his apostles to find His Lost Sheep who had been dispersed into all the world. He will return to them when they cry out to him in the End Days. Meanwhile we have the natural branch, the Israelites and the wild branch, the Gentiles who become one in the Root...the Lord Jesus Christ.

There are many issues discussed that separate the two, the Vatican's belief and those denominations that found Grace through Grace. However, what needs to hit home is that Chuck Smith's church, Calvary Chapel that he founded, passed on to others, continues to travel down the Ecumenical Road that leads to Rome. These Mega Churches are all about hype and feeling good. Anyone that has really read the Word of God would leave one of their services wondering what is holding these people together. It surely is not the Word of God.

Add this one to the many others who hold hands with Rome and you see a huge amount of people who are lost. The Way to Christ is narrow but the road to Hell is broad. Deception runs rampant in the Protestant Denominations.

Does the truth of who the Jesuits are and how they have infiltrated every aspect of humanity now begin to resonate with those that think the Protestant Seminaries are free of the Jesuit influence?

While one may not agree with every explanation given here, there is no doubt but that the church is basically lost.
