Illusions, Delusions, and Things to Come

So, how’d the election go for you? Are you upbeat? I admit that it was nice to vote for candidates who actually won this time; it’d been awhile since I’d picked a winner. I’m sure that this time, our latest batch of politicians in new offices will save the day. We can all go back to sleep now, evil has been vanquished, right? Put away your party hat, take down your yard signs.

Nothing has changed.

But, but the Republicans have taken control of the Senate and kept the House. Why, yes they did. The last time they had control of Congress, and a Republican president, they banned abortion. Wait, that didn’t happen. In fact, evil wasn’t rolled back at all.

What do you expect now? Politicians do one of two things; either create problems or exacerbate existing ones. They don’t solve them. There is no political fix for moral depravity.

The same godless Republican Party leadership of Boehner in the House and McConnell in the Senate are in place. Both want to find common ground and work with the most wicked president in this nation’s history rather than stop him cold and repeal the damage he’s wrought. If that isn’t sobering enough, please be reminded that the same corrupt judges are on the bench as before the election.

The lying, mind-control media is intact. Schools are still indoctrinating young minds rather than educating them. The entertainment industry continues to crank out the same filth as before.

Barry Soetoro, aka Barack Hussein Obama, is not an irrelevant lame duck as many would like to believe. If anything he’s more dangerous. Now he has nothing more to lose politically, and thus no need to hold back. He has two more months of Harry Reid covering for him in the Senate before the Republicans actually seat their new majority. Beyond that, Barry knows that whatever illegal usurpations he tries via unlawful Executive Orders, the Republicans don’t have the backbone to impeach him.

Even if the House of Representatives did, it would take 67 of 100 senators to remove him from office. Republicans will have 53 seats next year by current tally, likely picking up the Louisiana senatorial seat next month in a run-off election to get them to 54. Do you see all 54 Republicans and 13 Democratic Senators putting the Constitution and our nation ahead of party allegiance? Me neither.

Very, very few do that now, in either party. Don’t expect a new trend to start next year.

How many politicians running in your area boldly proclaimed their Christian faith? How many told us that only a nationwide repentance and turning away from sin could save this nation? We can’t even get that acknowledgment from most preachers in the pulpit. Thank God for those that do, but they’re in the distinct minority.

Did anyone running for office take an adamant stand against the abominable homosexual agenda? Yet we’re supposed to believe that things will magically change for the better.

Illusion and delusion.

Speaking of delusional. Barry is in complete denial that his party took a beating because of his destructive policies. As has been postulated by other observers, he’s either mentally ill or demon-possessed. I say both. Understand this; his goal is and has been the destruction of this nation. Morally, economically, militarily and culturally. When you get this point, you see that his presidency has been incredibly successful. Brace yourself, the job isn’t finished.

Not yet.

Let’s ignore the distractions and focus for a moment. Forget about the just past election and the hype for the 2016 election year. Will there be elections in 2016? I have my doubts.

“Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof” (Matthew 6:34).

The media has our attention going from one story to another. Russia, ISIS, Ebola, elections, etc. It’s bang-bang coverage to overwhelm and desensitize. Incidentally, the next likely big story will be rioting in Ferguson, Missouri spreading to other places after the grand jury there declines to indict the police officer who shot Michael Brown.

I’m not saying that war with Russia and China, the march of Islam with US support, the threat of pandemic, and a race war aren’t important. They are parts, significant parts, of a larger plan. Nothing is coming to pass by accident or random chance.

We are at the precipice of monumental crisis. Only the great mercy of God has stayed the carnage to this point. Yet wickedness must be judged, God’s holiness demands it. Get on your knees and thank God for each and every day you live in safety and abundance, for I tell you, these days have an ending.

I was struck this past Halloween season by the continuing popularity and prevalence of zombies. We’ve become a culture of death; aborting babies and the ongoing gruesome killings of Christians around the world by the cult of death, Islam, as examples. As long as it’s not us suffering or dying, who cares? Life is cheap.

There are two kinds of death, physical and spiritual. Physical life is finite, ending in death. Yet we spend so much time and dread of that which is inevitable. Comparatively, spiritual death doesn’t have to happen to anyone yet a majority choose it. They are deceived, deluded, lost.

Back to the zombie theme. If you could see the spiritual dead around you manifesting in physical form, at school, at work, at the football game or shopping mall, you would be surrounded by zombies. They’d be everywhere. We have friends who are zombies, we’ve voted for zombies. We have zombies at our churches, even in the pulpits. In many pulpits. And in our families. What about in the mirror?

“Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity” (Matthew 7:22-23).

Friends, God is either God of your life or He’s just a good intention. If He’s God, then your life is one of seeking His will, reading your Bible daily and praying. It’s a life of caring about and helping others—reaching out to the lost. And it’s a life of receiving flack and persecution for taking a stand for Christ in this fallen world. Your life could even be endangered.

Isn’t that preferable to your soul being imperiled?

Or your life’s one of doing for yourself, catering to your own biases, justifying compromises with evil, and conforming God to your life rather than conforming your life to Him. Your “faith” is lip service, a commitment never taken to heart, a life-altering action never realized.

“This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men” (Matthew 15:8-9).

So what’s next? For you personally and spiritually, that answer is up to you. As for the world around you, I can offer you a pleasant hope or I can give you the truth.

The usurper known as Obama no longer needs to hide his intent. If you have the discernment to see the evil of these past six years, the next two, and possibly beyond, will be wickedness unequalled. To get started, Barry plans on issuing an illegal decree to grant amnesty to millions of illegal aliens.

Stated forthrightly, Executive Orders can’t annul, alter, ignore or supersede established law. The president has no power, zero, to legislate law. That authority is given solely to Congress. As such, Barry’s decrees are null and void by the Constitution.

Where’s Congress?
Wringing their hands and whining about a looming Constitutional crisis rather than executing their Constitutional duty to impeach. News flash ladies and gentlemen, we’ve been in a Constitutional crisis for decades now as corruption and lust for power have dominated our government. Barry’s just going to finish what so many others have been part of.

It’s amazing to think that an individual who heretofore couldn’t pass even a cursory government background check due to his rabidly anti-American, terrorist associations and Marxist/Muslim philosophies, could ascend to the office of president.

Barry’s angry that he’s been rejected by the nation of sheep that he’s so hated in the first place. Magnify that rejection by the narcissism that’s essentially integral to who he is. What now, isn’t he capable of? Think of the top secret info that he’s privy to. How valuable would that information be to those nations and entities who also seek our destruction?

Jesus was praying in the 17th chapter of John. In closing I’d like to share a few verses from His prayer. This prayer occurred right before He was to be betrayed and crucified:
“I pray for them [Jesus’ disciples]: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine. And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them” (John 17:9-10).

Jesus didn’t pray at this point for the evil world, He prayed for those who were His.

“I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil” (John 17 14-15).

The world hates the true followers of Jesus. It’s noteworthy that Jesus didn’t pray for their removal to save them from the world, but rather that they would be kept, or protected from evil. Even strengthened to endure during the time of evil.

“Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word” (John 17:20).

If you’re a Christian, you are one who believed in Jesus through the words of His disciples. Here, Jesus prayed for you!

The larger world may be in terminal freefall but you have a glorious destination waiting. Hold to the faith and promise that will see you home.
