This scripture, "What does it profit a man if he gain the whole world and lose his soul" is a scripture I shared one night many, many years ago with someone who was determined to steal a farmer's plow that was left right by the road. I don't know where those words came from because I wasn't a Christian at the time and never even opened a Bible while I was a Catholic except to look at the pictures.

The Words of God stopped the neighbor from doing this act. Hearing it again tonight on this video struck a cord of how God's Word seems to apply to so many different parts of one life even though the words themselves don't changed. It managed to convince the guy that by taking something that belonged to someone else, he may have gained a plow but would take away the very instrument that allowed the other man to make a living for his family.

I had just finished listening to this video when I thought about that. Our peaceful life is being taken from us (our plows are being stolen) by the Powers that Be and the demon bands that drive them are shrieking for revenge upon those that they believe have replaced them in God's Kingdom. It is a Spiritual War-fare that cannot be won with guns and bullets.

As Believers, we know what is coming; we know there is no pre-Tribulation Rapture and that we are here for the long haul unless death finds us first. We are guaranteed that things will only get worse and we should make preparations as one would do when we know a storm is coming, such as food preparation and other health essentials to get us through the time that God has for us and we should do it with the thought that we will share with others who did not prepare. None of us are an Island unto ourselves. We need each other. And what we did with what we had is what God takes note.

But here is what is different today than in days past.

1. We are the End Time Generation, of that there is no doubt.

2. We face wars and rumors of wars, earthquakes in differs places, ethnic group against ethnic group, drought, water shortages, pestilences, nuclear attacks, Foreign invasion, meteor falling from the skies. No, America does not have a shield around it; she will probably face some of the worst because of her back having been turned upon the God that blessed her so much.

3. The many hardships through-out the world are not going to end anytime quick; in fact things will only be compounded.

So, just as this video told, we can get so caught up in self-preservation that we have no joy, no peace, no accomplishments for the Lord with the talent that He has given us to use in His service. Days go by, weeks, then months and we sit and wait for the other shoe to drop and then what?

Let's say we manage to survive a few more months or whatever time there is. We crawl out of some hole we built for ourselves and look around and wow! Do we really want to have lived for this.....a war zone, bodies lying all around, unclean air and water. What has been the fight worth?

As Christians, we know what there has been planned for us; there are the 800/900 some FEMA camps where women will get raped and used until it will be like the woman in the Middle East who got raped 60 times a day and prayed for a bomb to drop upon them.....to stop the hurt and the screams. After they are of no use, they will be shot or decapitated. Are we stock-piling for that? Do we really think that we can win against the evil hordes that will be let loose soon; just as the Bible tells us?

What did one accomplish by surviving another day? There is no planet left to want to live in. The Bible tells us that a human will be a rare thing to see. Whatever it is that God has planned for us, He will be faithful to do.

Since there is, no Rapture that is going to catch out of what is to come, let's bite the bullet now, get our hearts, minds geared up for the ultimate end. Yes, it is wise to prepare for the normal kind of hard times but not to the point that it robs us of our peace of mind, joy and the opportunity to use what God has given us to help another lost soul find his way to Jesus Christ.

Because the bottom line is this, "What profit a man if he gain the whole world and lose his own soul?"
