August 30, 2009 - In just a little while God in His mercy will lead His church into the wilderness. The wilderness is not a place to be avoided, but rather a place to be understood. There is something of God in this place. God Himself will allure us there to speak comfort and strengthen us. He will take away all things that we believe He has given us, when in reality He never did. In this place God will deal with all that has captivated our heart and would hinder His life from being lived through us.

In the wilderness the natural becomes supernatural and we are brought back to a right perspective. When we get through this deep dealing of God we are enabled to make the choice to be poured out for Jesus so that others can be grafted into His power and lineage. The lesson learned from this experience is that the power of God is found in those who will be given for others!

Pastor's message saw the times when Wilderness would grip this nation:
property lost, homes, things that people had received which they thought were gifts from God but God did not give these things. He knew these were all entrapments that would not led to a closer walk with Him.

One's greediness just as it was in the camp of the Israelites where a man's love of gold and silver was so great that he hid them under his tent so no one would be able to get it. God spoke to Joshua that there was something in the camp that brought it weakness. That one weak link brought weakness to the complete chain of the camp if it was allowed to continue.

That is the way it is today. If we don't take away the things that weaken our walk with God, He will take it away.

The whole Church is going to go through this, the Pastor tells the congregation. Isn't that message strongly indicating that the Body of Christ, the ecclesia/church will walk this walk through the Wilderness until the End when God will finally pour His Wrath upon the degenerate ones that will not repent.

Why does God do this to us? It is to bring Glory to Him. To bring the unfaithful wife close to her husband. She isn't taken out of her comfort: the comfort is taken out of her. As a result, she will know intimacy with her God that does not come while she idles about in her comfort.

Have you ever known of couples that are constantly at odds with each other...who when they faced their "Wilderness", became closer together in a stronger way so that they now were one?

There is only one way to reach Him, to Seek Him and that is through the Word of God. We do not become perfect but we become stronger because it is the Word of God that Satan fears; it shakes him to the core, it makes him back off.

We are not called to live unto ourselves. Our focus is not unto ourselves but onto others who have so much less.

We are not called to escape the Wilderness but to live in power through it until that day that the Dead in Christ are called first and then the living shall be changed into incorruption to join the Lord in the Air. Does this resonate more strongly with some of the Body of Christ now? Our Power is not in the Theology of man. Our Power is in the Word of God.
