In Regard to the Quarterback that Denied Christ....

For Fair Use Discussion and Educational Purposes

There was a gal who told me that she didn't want to talk about Jesus because her religion (Catholic) was a private matter....had no problem discussing her church. I sure can understand "Religion" being a subject that causes strife among the many so-called Christians. I didn't want to hear about religion either. However, I am ever grateful to the woman who witnessed to me about the personal relationship with My God, the Lord Jesus Christ......HUGE DIFFERENCE.

What I do not understand is the inability of people to figure out the difference. No one comes to the Lord lest the Holy Spirit draws them SO, apparently, all those called DO HAVE the inkling put within them seek Him. Didn't Jesus tell us to be Witness Unto the Whole Earth...to spread His Gospel?

Acts 1:8 "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth."

A Believer in Jesus Christ is in-powered by the Holy Ghost to be a witness, in season and out of season.

Since this Football Player had been wearing his T-Shirt in season (Football) , He started out with good intentions but bowed to the pressure of the Football Commission. He turned his "Witness" inside out. I have no doubt that if he had stuck to his 1st intention, the Holy Spirit would have im-powered him and perhaps even over-turned the ruling. Perhaps, by letting them come to the conclusion that this quarter-back is valuable to them so let us respect the Power within him.

One by one, the Christian witnessing power is being taken away. Have we become like T-Shirts....."turning our brains inside out" rather than correct the paganism within us, simplify our Relationship with Jesus Christ and Keep Him as The Breastplate of lives.

I am reminded of the words by Joe Ortiz in his Book," Why Christians Will Suffer 'Great Tribulation".

In Chapter 59:15-17 (NIV) , " the prophet Isaiah tells, "Truth is nowhere to be found, and whoever shuns evil becomes a prey. The Lord looked and was displeased that there was not justice. He saw that there was no one and he was appalled that there was no one to intercede; so his own arm worked salvation for him and his own righteousness sustained him. 17. He put on righteousness as his breastplate, and the helmet of salvation on his head; he put on the garments of vengence and wrapped himself in zeal as in a cloak.

This Quarterback exemplifies the same kind of pressure put upon Christians in all walks of life. He has his uniform for the game and we are given our uniform to wear. His T-Shirt was speaking of Righteousness. Our Witness should be of Righteousness in Him.

And so, that our Brains don't get turned inside out like that T-Shirt, let us be wearing our Helmet of Salvation.

Pray for this man that he will have the boldness to stand for what he believes, "IN SEASON AND OUT OF SEASON"
