How’s That Working Out for Ya?

My friends, have you noticed the signs of this fallen world, as of late? Have you been reading your Bibles and see that the coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, is imminent? Have you noticed how many nations across the globe have turned their backs on Israel, just as it was stated in the Word of God? Does anyone see the correlation of the Flood of Noah, the fall of Sodom and Gomorrah, being fulfilled in this world today?



Have we forgotten what the Word of God says about Israel in the last days? Have we turned our attention from what the Bible says the world will be like, in the last days, because it causes so much pain to witness? We are dancing to a Hideous and Evil tune, played by Satan and his ilk, in their final effort to subvert the perfect will of God on this earth.



Time is much shorter than most of us would be willing to accept, because the end is in sight and for most, that is not what they want to be thinking about. The thoughts and dreams of most are on worldly possessions. Possessions that most feel are more important than the fall of humanity before a great and righteous God. Fear wrenches their hearts, blinds their eyes and makes deaf their ears. Churches across the land are failing their congregations for money and things, pastors and ministers preaching filth and degradation.



What’s more, the evil of Satan and his ilk have permeated almost every nook and cranny of humanity— to the point that death by beheading is not really noticed by most! No one seems to care, no one is willing to stand up and bring it to a stop. So heavy are the sins of this world, that it is being used as entertainment, when one stops for a moment and thinks, it’s more than just shameful.



Suddenly a horrible act will take place and everyone wants to know how it could ever take place? Somehow there must have been a reason for the atrocity and they look at things in the individual’s life to explain it. (When the answer is actually all around us.) The Word of God, proves we are the culprits, we are responsible, we are the perpetrators because we have fallen so very far from the view of Jesus Christ. What is so unusual is that the Word of God, points out WHO are at fault and names them specifically. And again, similar to the time just before the Great Flood and the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah.



Time and again, empires have grown to great heights and have then fallen and we learn of these things in school. Atrocities are committed throughout time, some more heinous than others, even in our own communities and nation. And we continually wonder what the “Root of the problem is?” As I have stated before, “We continue to do the exact same thing, over and over again, expecting a different outcome!” That my friends is the definition of insanity! So then the question everyone is thinking is, WHO is at fault?





2 Timothy 3:1-7: “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.”



So once again I ask the question, WHO is at fault? And then we look back in time and wonder how things got so bad. Has it ever occurred to you that WE are the reason things have never stayed the way they USED TO BE? I hear quite often, “Those times were so peaceful, they were simple times, they were good times.” And they think back of those whimsical days of yore, dreaming of how it should never have changed, wishing it would have lasted forever.



The answer is this: WE changed from those times and we called it “progressive thinking.” Somehow how we felt we could do a better job, we could be a better people, that we would learn from our mistakes and never repeat them. I hate the saying, “So how's that working for ya?” And yet it fits. Many have wondered how to change the situation:



Matthew 7:7-8: "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.”



Far too many believe we must DO something and to a degree they are correct. We must bury our faces in the dirt, we must humble ourselves before a great and mighty God that can do anything...and ask for His forgiveness of our sin. We must ASK, we must SEEK and we must KNOCK. That would be DOING something. It is a desire to know what HE thinks is best for us, NOT what we think is best for ourselves. Or do you not understand what greed is?



Psalm 37:4-10: “Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.



Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.



For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the Lord, they shall inherit the earth. For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be.”



I keep saying the exact same thing, “Time is short ya'll!” The problem is, people do not want to hear these things, they do not want to give up a single thing that they fear they will lose. The problem is, are you willing to give up THINGS in order to assure your salvation unto heaven eternal? In other words, what are all these earthly things worth to you, if you only get approximately 70 years here on earth and die for the rest of eternity? In that case I would be forced to ask you, “How's that working out for ya?”



John 3:16: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Zechariah 12:3,9:
And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people; And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.
